Yarmo Won't Be There

Hammers rarely used and rarely fully fit, Andriy Yarmolenko put himself in the shop window following his exploits during the Euro 2020 competition, consequently there are several 'interested parties' in acquiring the 32 year old Ukraine international.

Through no fault of his own, Yarmo's time at West Ham has been an expensive unmitigated disaster, with injuries playing a key role. Why on earth a player with a track record of injuries was ever bought for £17.5 Million and then handed an eye watering £115,000 per week in wages is quite beyond belief, the bean counters at West Ham must have nightmares every time they see Yarmolenko's name in the club's monthly outgoings.

There is interest from a couple of teams in Turkey, but they have baulked at his astronomic wages and would only be tempted to take him if he took a sizable reduction from £115,000 down to £75,000. Weirdly Burnley have apparently expressed a firm interest in bringing Yarmo to Turf Moor, Sean Dyche must have been at the old magic mushrooms or have been locked in a dark room recently.

We wish Andriy all the best in the hope that his missus prefers the sunshine of Turkey to the 'glamour' of Burnley, because we all know what will happen if Yarmo lines up against the Irons dont we? It's the West Ham way! - Ed

Turf Moor, Happy place, Happy place. Sean Dyche must have swallowed more than a few lizards to croakily say Yarmo be there.

As long as Yarmo is somewhere other than here, It'll do me...
