Hopefully Ronaldo signing for Manchester United will give the red tops something to occupy themselves with for a while, it is to be hoped during that lull that Hammers can proceed with acquiring their transfer targets, one is already having a medical, the other is just about to become 'firmed up' as ` result of Ronaldo's move to United.
Prior to Ronaldo's arrival, Jesse Lingard had held onto the hope that he could somehow force his way into the Manchester club's starting line up, what was already a tall order has now become nigh on impossible. Lingard is to be admired for wanting to explore every avenue possible to stay at his boyhood club, but even he must be thinking that he's given it his best shot, but come up short.
Kurt Zouma's transfer to West Ham has been getting unwelcome headlines, the latest being the Mirror's reprint regarding Zouma's knees, it is well known that he suffered a cruciate injury years ago, but the story has been revamped recently as if it is new news, which it is not.
Hopefully Zouma will have completed all the necessary checks and Lingard will have come to his senses before the dust has settled on the Ronaldo transfer. -Ed

Deal stalled as medical brings up issue
Fingers burned to often i think we should pass on this deal because we all know our luck with high earners and injuries.
He can zoom off for me.......
He can zoom off for me..............
Somethings not right
Hope he has had a really stringent medical we don't want to have another Winston Reed scenario with a great player for 2seasons and then one with injuries on £130,000 that nobody wants and we are stuck with. Two things worry me why has he had his medical in Paris supposed to be because he is training with the French squad so does a french doctor do it or is it a Westham doctor going over to France then having to be quarantined for 10 days?? Secondly why 5years??
I gather initially he was in
I gather initially he was in Paris on compassionate leave, it would make sense with Covid that that West Ham asked a French medical team to carry out an assessment , send xrays and scans etc to our staff to go over, I would rather err on the side of caution as has been stated above we have been burned before.
