just wondering how many on the Org have mails etc from the above?

I really relate to a lot of what they are trying to achieve, mainly the removal of GS&B. there are plans for another demonstration before the Brentford game.

However, some of their "objections" are looking a little silly... promised European football, got that, top six club, got that, top stadium... well, getting there, the ends are better being squared off.

im no fan of the Unholy Trinity but at least they are keeping their heads down, no crap on the media and the transfer window looks pretty good particularly getting another season with Dec.

Maybe Im easily pleased but last season and so far this season I am pretty happy. Some scalps against London rivals and maybe the Mancs and a good cup run, top 6 and I am very happy chappie!

With Hammers United, the people behind it are old School hammers supporters. The clowns may have finally got their top 6 position but only through sheer luck because moyes didnt tell them to poke it!They maybe quiet at the moment but give it time,1 of em especially Lady Bonus will put her Jimmy Choo sized foot in her mouth!!
Imo if they had been honest from the start most fans would have let it go,but even lately the Hammers United fans all chipped in to buy the Hammers Crest that the dildos ceremoniously dumped on the scrap heap, they always have been just in it for the dough....As for the stadium 1 great night at the L.S ( maybe something to do with the pandemic!) doesn't instantly make it home,'IF' the place is rocking when we are losing then it might be a different story!!
As for the side,we have a great team at last

I would have put the mortgage on it that you were a supporter :o)

You make some good points particularly the point about the Old Crest, that was criminal!

As for the LS, with a great team will come great nights with the stadium rocking. For the record, I have no memory of UP rocking when we were losing. I have memories of booing and singing What a load of rubbish when losing at half time.

Though I've always said even at the Boleyn if you were unfortunate enough to be in with the sit down brigade it was shocking

65 you make valid points, I have stood in among attendances as low as 12,000 for home league matches at The Boleyn, witnessed the screams of "Lyall Out" watched a LC tie where after losing 2-5 to Barnsley and witnessed season books being hurled away, some very rose tinted views of our dark days from some quarters, funny but the Hammers United arguments are becoming tiresome and it is as if some of them are waiting for us to lose a game just to roll out the same tired old "told you so" rhetoric!

It has got to be said, that there were some serious shit times at the Boleyn which i have seen over the 50 years, but i loved it there, but we are not there now,so we must move on and make the best of it,but i feel that we are turning a massive corner here, with the team and the ground,i would like the ground to be totally ours, and feel it will one day, squaring off behind the goals is an improvement.

I loved Upton Park but it wasn’t always perfect. I have instilled into my son that we never leave a match until the end no matter how bad the score. But there were matches where we were virtually the only ones left and the away fans were laughing at our fire drill. And it is not quite the case that all old school fans ( like me 55 years of going )hate the new stadium ; it has its plus points. And we ain’t going back to Upton Park , special though it was.

Because 3 plastic fans made the decision for us! Said it before good luck to those who like it,I've been a few times & apart from the carpenters Arms the ground & surrounding area is terrible imo...I refuse to accept something just because there's no going back, they made the decision not me & not thousands of life long supporters who feel the same...I won't be spending my hard earned, that will add to the coffers of a silly 72 year old so he can wine & dine his latest bit of botoxed to the max Totty!!!

( Quote) "promised European football, got that, top six club, got that, top stadium... well, getting there, the ends are better being squared off."
Only taken ten years, 5 managers (current one they re-employed cos no other idiot needed the job) and a staggering 49 different strikers.
I know nothing of the Hammers United tbh but I stand my ground as one of the old farts if you like, that the soul less Meccano Stadium will never be fit for purpose and it's my belief that G&S had every intention of selling off the Boleyn Ground with their pockets being lined by the overpriced monstrosity that has since been built on it in kickbacks. Yes, The Boleyn had its faults but no where near the current ones. Yes, we had dark days at the Boleyn and so we have at the OS. One good season ( a season with NO fans at that)and everyone is full of euphoria.

Clearly the wounds are still very deep with some. I am also the old fart, 62 , born and bred a Hammer but maybe I see life differently and welcome change. I also loved UP, it was home but its gone so I have a choice. Embrace the new or stop following West Ham. I prefer to move on, its far from perfect but they are still my club. The 60K people that go are still in the main West Ham through and through. The plastics are being less and less and this is the future. Im a proud Grandpa and my grand kids will be and are 5th generation West Ham. i get to see family and friends at least 19 times a year, I enjoy a beer or three with fellow minded folk and I love it. I dont go to Carpenters, its not on my route to the BoM, i'm happy with the Heineken bar, the 70's disco music and the craic.

I have sympathy for those who miss the past but its gone. Im no fan of the unholy trinity but know the future will be brighter, it takes time.

Ever the Optimist, I have already bought my flights and hotel for Saville. Son and Bruv will be on the juice even if West Ham are not there!

off now to get my popcorn, have a good day folks, I will report back on Monday after being in a rocking stadium when we beat the Mancs... Jesse who???? :o)

You are a true Hammer! Booking that campsite... spot on! We have taken the view that even if West Ham are not there it will still be Footie festival, will still try to get tickets, probably from a scummy tout. To be honest I got the idea from my old college mate, he's a proper Chavski fan (not a recent recruit from the Russian era) and he and his son buy flights and hotel for CL final destination and they have a ball!

Saville is a nice place, the hotels are reasonable as years ago they built loads for the Expo. There is a pikey end of town to avoid, proper gypsies from Europe including hate to say from these shores. Enjoy buddy!!!
