Lingard Loses Rag With Ragnick!

lingard is leaving old trafford in the next 12 days

If ever there was an indication that the relationship between Jesse Lingard and Manchester United has reached its breaking point, Ralf Rangnick's decision to not even include Lingard in the Manchester United squad to play Brentord was surely more than a pointer that the midfielder will be on his way out of Old Trafford, BEFORE the end of the January window.

Lingard is reported to have 'lost his rag' when he saw the squad selection ahead of the game, it is just the latest in a series of public snubs that has made his position untenable. It should be remembered that Lingard decided to 'do the decent thing' when he returned to Old Trafford from his very impressive loan spell with West Ham, by fighting to get his place back having been encouraged to do so by Ole Gunnar.

'Gonner' went back on his word, choosing to sign Ronaldo instead, which left Jesse scratching for ANY game time. As a consequence Lingard was omitted from Southgate's England squad, having previously forced his way back in while he was with the Irons.

Any hope that things would change once Ralf Rangnick took over were quickly dashed for Lingard, as the newly ensconced manager has handed Jesse even LESS time than 'Gooner'! Jesse Lingard WILL leave Old Trafford during this window, the only question is where will he go to?

Before Newcastle's new found wealth, it would have been virtually nailed on for Jesse to return to West Ham, especially given the unfair treatment he has received since his return to Manchester. Unfortunately The Toon are going to rear their ugly heads whenever a quality player becomes available, they have the financial muscle to completely blow Hammers out of the water, so unfortunately they are far more likely to end up enticing Lingard to St James Park than Hammers have of bringing him back to the East of London.

This is one of those situations that you know is probably going to end up disappointingly, but you still have blind faith that it might JUST come good, don't hold your breath though! -LN

Been saying this since the takeover. Newcastle will win things, give it a couple of seasons and all the dots will be joined up. They will challenge for the title.

Lingard will go there, we don't stand a chance..

Oi big boy, what's your name?

'If' they get out of the dogfight maybe, but at the moment all the pressure in the world is on them! They can't buy a win,Howe is completely out of his depth imo...they've signed tripper & Wood fair enough - pretty good players but can they attract the type of players to get them out of a relegation battle? We shall see

I think all the new comers 65 at Newcastle have a clause to leave if they go down and Jesse will be no different.

Trippier was a great signing, not sure about Wood, hardly prolific but was in a bag average team... just like Newcastle :o)

Their need for Jesse is greater than ours and like you Im not sure they are relegation battlers!

Going to the Toon is all about the money. High profile players getting high profile wages. When Citeh got taken over Mark Hughes was manager and he slowly built up the world beaters coming into the club. Then he was gone and in comes a world class Manager and even more World class players.

I'm convinced Newcastle will stay up, then the fun starts, at least for them. Howe will be history, Wood will jog on and proper players, cant believe I'm saying this will come in..

If they stay up they will invest , he will end up the same as he is now at united , but i guess its about the money , it will be his last good contract….. it will be years before newcastle start challenging for trophies. If he looks at it for football reasons then he should come back to the hammers but i cant see it !! Bloody shame !!
