Supporters hoping for a fanfare to herald in a new era at West Ham following the influx of Daniel Kretinsky's investment, will be sorely disappointed in the way that the January transfer window has panned out, failing to yield even ONE player! Even the French Press have given up on West Ham's ability to close deals, they recognise plenty of 'posturing' from the club, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, they also recognise it's inability to follow up the talk, with the walk.

The day before yesterday FIVE separate mainstream media outlets in France were convinced Caleta-Car was on his way from Olympic Marseille to West Ham, they had people at the airport waiting for his departure, fortunately the catering is rather good even at the remotest of provincial airports throughout the region, so their operatives won't have been short of food and drink.

Obviously Hammers don't want to pay over the odds for a player but surely there is at least SOME understanding of the market and how to utilise it, clubs like Brentford and Watford are able to constantly unearth gems, which while not being World beaters, are a significant improvement on getting NO ONE!

Hammers exact need for players may have slightly altered due to the return from injury of Aaron Cresswell and more importantly Kurt Zouma, who has returned way ahead of schedule. However the glaring need for a striker CANNOT be ignored, it is sheer fool hardiness to expect to get though to the end of the season relying on Michail, Antonio as the club's only recognised striker. Cresswell's injury also highlighted the fact that the club is only one or two injuries from what would be the death of it's European aspirations for next season.

We would like to bring a message of hope, but it does seem that we at the Org, among others have added up 2+2 and got 5, or actually a big fat ZERO! -

This new Czech mate is no surprise, he has a habit of not investing, he has just clouded the future situation, bought a large part of a club who's "stock value" continues to grow and come the time when WHU own the BoM that value increases. His stake in our club will come with a VERY big financial reward.

So, in short, him and the Unholy Trinity couldnt run a bath let alone a football club and couldnt close a door yet alone a transfer deal... Shambles!!!!

The only thing that will come out of today will be Soucek signing a new contract. It will be heralded as a massive positive.

Well, at least we've not signed some foreign bucket of arse that's prolific in the Amazon rain forest Sunday league, sponsored by Windolene...

You are right,it is a sort of fan tough love. Everyone knows that the club usually buys shit during the window to keep, the 'natives' happy because they haven't grown up enough to understand that you have to start somewhere, even if it is annoying in the short term.

A little enlightenment would be nice ,instead of all this hush hush ,we appear to be running a football club on a shoestring ,1 or 2 burn outs Ant & Chec ,in fact the other Chec isn't the player he was either, how the hell are we goin to get through the rest of the season with a burned out broken down striker ,wait till the next couple of weeks when we resume our European ambitions and the F A cup , we wont know our arses from our elbows
