Hammers manager David Moyes has a bit of a selection conundrum to deal with for today's clash against London rivals Arsenal, with the 2nd leg of the Europa League semi final scheduled for Thursday evening Moyes has to make some big, big decisions.

Does he 'rest' players like Declan Rice and Michail Antonio, of does he go hell for leather in order to try and secure a sixth place finish in the Premier League for a 2nd successive season? Having a 'bare bones' squad doesn't help matters any and Moyes will be without the services of Les 'Ballon' Dawson due to his sending off against Chelsea last weekend, a game in which Alonso should never had been on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes as he had been regularly fouling any Hammers player anywhere near him, WITHOUT sanction!

Kurt Zouma returned from injury ahead of schedule against the Frankfurters, but he was clearly not anywhere full fitness and struggled for pace throughout the entire match, NOT a good portent for today, nor indeed for next Thursday. The lack of strength in depth, especially in the centre back area is really coming back to bite the club on it's proverbial.

Hindsight is a dual edged sword, but with hindsight the sale of the General, Fabian Balbuena looks to have been a MASSIVE mistake, fans have taken to the "West Ham are massive, every where we go" chant to their hearts, it is to be hoped that they don't have to tweek the chant to "West Ham COULD have been massive, but we didn't spend"!

Old 'Arry Redknapp used to reference being "down to the bare bones", well it seems that Moyes will have to deal with the "deep skeletal" that he is facing when selecting his team for Hammers 2nd from last home game of the season. - Ed

What dilemma? he played his strongest side thursday they were not good enough so send them out again to prove otherwise but with Wolves hitting a bad patch of form i think Moyes will risk Noble Vlasic and who knows Kral today
