Appiah-Forson

Submitted by Gravs on Mon, 05/04/2021 - 14:04

A few of our coaching staff have compared Keenan Appiah-Forson, how he is right up there with N'Golo Kante of Chelsea. Now Rice is going to be out for a while, wouldn't it be time to either play Forson or give Coventry a chance. Noble is always the likely choice but shouldn't we be blooding our youngsters?

When football was a man's game, blooding youngsters in league games was the norm at the end of the season. Of course then, it was only two up , two down with only Champions and runners up getting European football. The current money grabbing Premier League competition restricts the chances of youngsters getting chances nowadays with top and bottom spots sometimes going to the last day. When was the last time a 4th placed team won the Champions League?

Will not take that chance and you have to wonder how patient Coventry has to be,everyone i have spoken to rates this Lad very highly but no real chance given and when you see Benny and Bowen now relegated to the bench you have to wonder will any of the youth be given a chance, better to blood them now and find out if they can step up in a match that means something than in a meaningless end of season game.Like you 65 i do not expect us to finish in the top 4 but after all there hard work i do wish Moyes would have a little more belief in himself and his players who knows

Has Zouma signed?? Read an article on News Now All Sources yesterday, saying that Zouma had passed the medical tests, however West Ham wanted a medical done in London. Now according to Mr Moyes, Zouma is still undergoing the medical. Now I'm sorry but these are worrying comments, does this mean that the Club has doubts over the findings of the original medical?? Bearing in mind Wilshere passed a so called Stringent medical. I find it rather strange that if the French National Physio/Doctor has passed him fit, who are we getting Dr Emmett Brown, Shipman, Crippen or Zhivago??

What I read Gravs was that the scans etc were to be looked at by medics here before DM made a final decision. So being cautious.

Could I ask what the issue is with the announcement of this Nayeuf Aguerd signing, been in talks for 2 wks now, Has he actually put pen to paper or not, there were images of him in a West Ham top released on instagram. Then taken down, I forgot who put them up. According to some he's looking at properties in the area?? What Area??.
The fee keeps changing, from £17m now up to £29m, the announcement was supposedly going to be made to coincide with the New Kit launch, it's pretty much like every sodding window. Grrr. Fabrizio Romano keeps saying it's a case of agreeing terms and fee, So No change there then, No doubt Sullivan will do his usual best to be obstinate and it'll go belly up.

Bayo, Broja, Mavidi, Dennis, Cornet and a Partridge in a pear tree, reading today on News Now All Sources, Broja will cost £57m last week read Moyes wants Antonio to lead the line again next season, we've seen him at his Best and Worst this season.
It would appear that the only other recognised striker in the U23's Sonny Perkins could walk away and sign for Leeds or Villa, obviously Moyes doesn't rate him?? A few games this season with 2 keepers on the bench, rather than any youngsters. Heard that Moyes really wants the same level from a youngster as Rooney was at Everton. How though?? If he doesn't pick him, I hope Perkins doesn't go down the route as Oxford, who set the world alight against Arsenal, got too big for his boots and was then sold.
Sorry for getting off the subject but how is Antonio at 32yrs of age going to put in the displays, for the next 2 seasons??

Just let it wash over you Burkie. Unfortunately the fake news and social know-it-alls know very little in truth and you're better off reading a good book or two during the off season

Who would you rather?? Mata is 34, Januzaj is 27, both available on a free, doesn't seem as though we'll have any money at this rate with all the players linked. Quibbling over bonuses for Aguerd, doesn't look good for Lingard, who reportedly wants £180k.

Good to see that he's going to be working with the first team, after talks of him leaving for either Forest, Rangers or QPR during the window. Happy for him, watched the FA Youth Cup game against Leeds, coped easily at Left Back, but it weren't till he pushed forward in order for Regan Clayton to come on, he was outstanding on the wing and scored.

So we've utilised his years extension, quite rightly this kid needs a proper contract offer as he could walk next summer. Don't understand why we are letting our youngsters get down to the last 12months then in Perkins case, they want a Kings Ransome to sign, I do hope sense will prevail regards this.

It's a joke right??? So Mr Lingard is now off to America, to sort out his next move. Offers from Spurs, Us, Newcastle and Everton (No Intention, but an option). He wanted to stay up north apparently because of his daughter (understandably). So he decides to move to America, He wants to be considered for the World Cup squad, so therefore requires regular football. The money on offer in America would be the swinging factor for any decision.
So moving to the American MLS will enhance his chances of getting into the World Cup Squad Will It?? Really??. The MLS is well known for Ageing has beens, fancying one last pay day before retiring. It's not at the same level of Premier League football, he's now totally Mugged Moyes Off, and I think he's really not worth the money or hassle, funny how leaks coming from the Manchester United dressing room, have now supposedly stopped, now both him and Pogba have left.

So far we've heard the Club are looking for compensation for Ashby (Free in Summer), Coventry (Free in Summer, Dawson (wants to move back up north for family). Johnson (Won't sign New Contract) Off Loading Coufal (Bayer Leverkusen) Vlasic (Loan made permanent).
Injuries to Scamacca, Cornet, Antonio, Zouma, Aguerd, Cresswell and Ogbonna still not 100%, talks of Newman setting up a network in Brazil, Soucek (Off form), as is Bowen. Rice, Paqueta only nearing a return from World Cup. The signing of Luizao from Sao Paolo, a 20yr old defender who will not be ready for Premier League football (Dependent on Moyes/Integration). It's looking rather worrying for the rest of the season. We've got No money either, so when all those factors come together.
PLEASE PLEASE WHAT IS THERE TO BE POSITIVE ABOUT??
