Hammers pursuit of getting an additional striker in to complement Michail Antonio seems to have been stepped up judging from reports that The Irons sent scouts to watch Austria play Denmark in Vienna and it is believed 6' 7 " forward Sasa Kalajdzic was the player they were monitoring.

The 24 year old striker was a target for the Hammers during the last transfer window but as usual nothing happened, the Stuttgart striker played the first 45 minutes, but was unimpressive as Austria suffered a 2-1 defeat to Denmark
in the UEFA Nations League.

At 6' 7" tall, Kalajdzic has been likened to Peter Crouch and would be a handful for any team he faces as he has proven during his time in Germany for Stuttgart. He has made 54 appearances for the Bundesliga club and has scored on 23 occasions, including a vital goal against FC Cologne on the last game of the season, a game Stuttgart went on to win 2-1, which helped them narrowly avoided the relegation play-offs.
Some alarm bells should be ringing though, Eintrecht Frankfurt made a hell of a lot of money selling Halland and Jovic to West Ham and to Real Madrid, both signings proved disastrous with neither player being able to transfer their Bundesliga form to their new clubs.

The Bundesliga might be a good proving ground for young players, but doing well in Germany is definitely NO guarantee of success in other European Leagues, especially the Premier League which is the most competitive and demanding league in World football!

ALL Hammers fans are desperate for new signings to be brought in, but they would do well to remember just how difficult Haller found the pace and physicality in what many view as the best League there is. - Ed

And he has no connection to Moyes or Everton so he is just a smoke&mirrors job until we buythat Belgian striker on Friday...Honza Cheap has everything this clubs looking for and more he may not play regularly and not be able to score goals but he has other attributes and he could be part of a double deal with his fellow Belgian player Honza winga andzaprayer followed by the another French defender we been tracking... Issa Heanygood get those deals done early doors Friday we can have nothing to whinge about.

Another prolific "striker" from the Bundesliga!! Good strikers are affordable & available from unfortunate clubs that are relegated, broken record club is still looking for members!

I have a nasty feeling this is going to be another bad window for us. Just feel that GSBK will not pay the money for what we truly need.
They really need to make a statement this time round. Can see Moyes falling on his sword. We need to get our business done early so we are not left with the dregs.

After two years of requiring at least ONE striker that they'd have had the paperwork already to sign on a lined up player from day one. Three days in and all I've read that has any credibility is of a defender. It doesn't bode well does it?

Not really deluded,i agree should have someone in line,we cannot afford to work on a wimm,if you want to attract decent players and progress.
