Worried!!

Submitted by Gravs on Thu, 16/06/2022 - 17:43

Anyone actually worried about the current status of the squad, there's talk of Alese, Baptiste and Ashby going on loan, a few senior players have left already, we have Coventry and Odubeko coming back, talk of Perkins, Longelo leaving.
The way things are going regarding signing reinforcements, all the melee and drama caused by no other than Mr Sullivan unable to sign off, on deals without trying to alter the deal at the last minute.
We have a Europa Conference qualifying round and it's possible we won't even have a squad of 16 senior professionals. Hoping we keep enough players to cover the game, then finding out that once again the Premier League are doing their utmost to start us off with very hard games, hope we actually get the players in on time.

Well said Mac,we made it into the top six,but to stay there you have to keep strengthening the squad, this is the problem we dont, and yes the BOM was for that, more revenue.

We made a European Semi Final and a top seven finish.

No realistic Hammer expects much better. Doesn't mean Im satisfied but I am realist as there are 6 clubs with deeper pockets than we have.

Just hope the people in charge have learnt from past mistakes, we need to sign the players Moyes needs, Great that we've signed Aguerd, and we'll probably be seeing posts on his unveiling for the next couple of weeks, however the other signings need to be done and soon. We're on the precipice of something magical, and the Board can't just rest on their Laurels. Now is as gooder time as any to announce another signing. To give us a real feel good factor.

Top 6,then top 7,unthinkable a few years back....the signings this window will define the ambition of the dildos & the scarlet pimpernel (kretinsky)

Thats it 65,the show of ambition leads to quality signings, and then in turn leads to success, otherwise we take the mid table route instead of fighting the top 6 route.

agree with you both and Kretinski is not a knight in shining armour, hes an investor that means caution and a return on investment.

Way overpriced no doubt BUT what if the board took the hit and said to Moyes we will finance that deal as a one off and the rest of your transfer kitty is not affected......imagine that kind of move and statement that would make to players in our squad and other players we may be looking at may sit up and think you know what this lot are serious.....of course it wont happen but i am just saying that if we want to be seen as a big club then we have to act like one.....mmm i think the heats getting to me!
