Benny gets a very rare start & is best player by a country mile but how long has he been with us?? Is this moyes idea of blooding someone in ffs...what will that do for scamacca,Cornet & Downes? I would like to know how many free kicks has Cresswell taken and did any of them go under the bar? Statistically must be over a hundred over the bar and yet, like Dec and pens, Moyessiah makes no change. Isn’t that a sign of madness constantly doing the same wrong thing? I think Scamacca seems to have some dribbling skills but was selfish by trying to go for goal when he could have set up Benny who was howling for the ball with an open goal in the offing. I am certain that if Moyes plays Scamacca from the start on Thursday in the Conference Cup, and he scores, then it could boost his confidence as well as gets others like Benny and Rice to play to his strengths. Moyes should have substituted Soucek and brought in a more versatile midfielder to change the dynamics of the game and feed Scamacca more effectively!!
Benny was the best West Ham
Benny was the best West Ham player on the pitch. Hope Moyes does not accept any offers for him, and that goal ruled off by VAR would have been a beauty and changed the whole outlook on the game. The goal they scored was pure luck with Fabianski on the ground. if he was upright it should have been a routine save from a tepid Johnson deflection. From the after game interview, it looks like Moyes wants to bounce back in The Euro Conference Cup. Interesting to see if he gets Ogbonna, Cornet, Downes and some U23 youngsters into the lineup against a Sunday League side!!
