Should have sold Rice

And bought Haaland and with the left over money a whole new back line.
Seriously though, after seeing this transfer window and the prices so far, Jesus, Sterling, Philips, Haaland then if it's true that there was a £100 mill offer for him we should have taken it. He's a fantastic player, no doubt about it but at the end of the day it's only one player and no matter how spectacular we think Rice is, he isn't a game changer. And if I'm honest I don't think we will ever see that sort of money for him being offered again ( I personally feel he will run his contract down).
Just remember, Mourinho allegedly offered £80 million for Diop whilst at the joke club in red right now and how much did we get for him at the end.
So. I will obviously upset loads of you with my view so I'm off out to buy a stab vest

I agree with you,we wont see that sort of money again for him,i thought yesterday that Rice has been below par as of late,so has Bowen.

Definitely should have sold Rice for that ridiculous price tag!yes he's been great but not anymore,he's been as poor as anyone! Certainly not captain material,we need a leader like Noble again

Even if we had of sold Rice for 120million or whatever. Who the Jeff would we have bought?

Fat Ronaldo, Mick Hucknall from Simply Red, Joe Wickes The Body Coach and Danny Dyer on a season long loan????????

Unless you’re concerned with the board making money, who would we have signed with that money. Also before we enter into the realms of fantasy who would we have bought for that kind of money that wants a top 10 finish, europa conference and counter attack football. Rice looks tired, my main concern for him is the hype that’s surrounding. He’s becoming a media darling and advert pinup boy. Doing shows like League of their Own. If his head gets too turned he’ll think he’s made it and blow his career. We’ve seen what happens when everyone around you keeps telling your your great with Joshua. Also Nobes used to be the main man and probably kept him in check a bit. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring Nobes back into the coaching setup a bit earlier than planned

I've already given you 4 players that have moved for far less than the figure being bandied about for Rice. I'm disregarding whether any of them could be tempted here because that would be hypothetical. Ricarlisson is another top player that was moved, Villa got Coutinho for a song whereas Chelsea have let Lukaku and Werner go. Origi of Liverpool left on a free. Too much fantasy for you ? Fine, Take a look at the pickings that could or actually have been taken from the relegated clubs or clubs like Brentford, a club renowned as a selling club as Maupay, Tarkowski, Watkins and Benrahma have proved. Want a LB then look at the Bees Henry. a striker,? Toney.
So many options out there and I haven't even left the UK to buy a foreigner who by Moyes's reckoning needs 6 months to get up to Premier League fitnesses, nor do I possess the scouting Network our club is supposed to have.

Your right Deluded, everyone of them players you have mentioned have all moved on,and if not on a free we could of conjured up the money for,but not one of them would of entertained us,even if Moyes thought about chancing his arm.

of all those players you've listed i prefer the players we've actually signed. I suppose you'll have your fingers crossed they fail or get injured to prove your point, but let's hope not eh?

a single word about any of our signings. I haven't said a single word here about whether they are good or bad. So a bit of a pointless dig. And I certainly would prefer Halaand ( one of the players I've listed) in any team of mine right now.

While it has to be said ,Rice s form has dipped a little but he's still shit hot ,his problem is he's playing with a group of far inferior players ,corse he's goin to take a dip in form ,i would put his loss of super star brand at a minute percentage ,maybe 2 % ,on the other hand Bowen drop is much bigger but don't be under any illusion both of these players are irreplaceable and to sell either one would be an act of lunacy, supreme efforts must be made to bring the rest of the squad up to somewhere near their level ,and thats why we need a new manager, with a new outlook on the game ,not one thats living in the past whos idea of attack is to hoof the ball up every now and then to a lone striker .Ponchy for me .
