West Ham United have delved heavily into the European market for new signings, consequently the Italian and French connections at the club continue to grow and hopefully develop.

There could be a distinctly 'Euro' back line soon if the proposed move for reported David Moyes target Borna Sosa has any legs to it, if Aaron Cresswell had any doubts as to how the Hammers boss views his left back options before, he will most definitely be feeling them now!

Another versatile defender the Croatian left back Borna Sosa of Stuttgart is being linked along with a host of other left backs all summer long from David Raum to Angelino and Jakob Ismail.

Having acquired yet another Chelsea defender, Italian Emerson Palmieri to cover left back, the club are also attempting to get Conor Gallagher on loan. All of this in addition to pursuing Belgium midfielder Hans Vanaken, the Irons having made an improved £9.2 Million offer to Club Bruges for the 30 year old (hardly in keeping with Moyes' RB template).

It seems as if the team's dire form has finally wrestled the cheque book from those who control it, panic buys? Well nearly, as the window's closure approaches deals do get done with increased urgency, Hammers had a wafer thin ageing squad before 'losing' five key players and several fringe players as well as being forced into selling Issa Diop to Fulham.

The club needs to bring in more players, but mindful of the fact that the club COULD get knocked out of Europe by a spirited performance by Viborg this Thursday evening in their Conference Cup qualifier. IF Viborg can overturn a 3-1 deficit in front of a pumped up home crowd watching the biggest match of their club's history, then apart from the shock and embarrassment Hammers would not be facing the prospect of playing Sunday-Thursday for much of the season and would not need to have an enlarged squad.

IF Hammers do prevail against Viborg, expect deals to go through like an express train, Last Tango transfers, you betcha...betway,bet 365,william hill and all the other thieves!

Conor Gallagher would be the icing on the cake. Can do Lanzini and Fornals jobs in one, terrific prospect...

Would be a great signing but like Cornet, Scam & downes in particular how long would it take for moyes to open his bleeding eyes!!

I agree that Gallagher and Rice would add a lot more versatility to the midfield. At the moment Soucek looks very lethargic and the number of slow tackles resulting in clumsy fouls are adding to the slow off the block woes in the squad. Gallagher at $40 million has the potential to be another $100 million valued player in the near future. West Ham should purchase him for that amount instead of a loan!!

Would Gallagher & Broja plus say £30m for Rice tempt Chelsea? Hopefully with Paqueta coming along and still signing Vanaken could work well for us.
