It is just as well that Tottingham supporting Mayor 'Sadist' Khan ensured the Overground wasn't functioning for the West Ham v Palace game otherwise there may have been some unpleasant scenes as many supporters of both clubs would have had to share the same carriages home on what would have been a journey of paradoxcical highs and lows.

Losing at the end of a game is NEVER easy, but the fact that the opposition had essentially 'played Hammers off the park' for the majority of the game meant that while the end result was not entirely expected, it should have been anticipated! The fact that Wilfred Zaha should become a member of the Olympic diving team due to his antics over the years which were fully on display this afternoon and the ref striving to replace Kevin Friend 'of no one' as the Premier League's least popular referee, there is still no excuse for what was an incredibly inept performance in front of a 'sold out' Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

Spoiler alert for those who have been spared from watching the actual game so far, Michail Antonio who had replaced Gianluca Scamacca at half time with the scores level at 1-1decided in the closing minute of the game to try an acute angle cross into Palace's box as opposed tyo going for the corner flag which would have ensured an undeserved draw for David Moyes against a Palace side that were up for it 'from the get go'.

The visitors under the guidance of Patrik Viera 'bullied and harassed' the home team throughout the entire first half bar a few periods of Irons possession, had it not been for Said Benrahma's wonderfully taken opener West Ham would have gone in a goal down already thanks to some weird refereeing and some very poor defending by Dawson and Khierer who essentially gave Palace their goal on a platter. presumably it was the first course of a rich meal that was to be provided, with Antonio delivering a mouth watering main meal worthy of satiating ANY Fat Lady at the end!

Fans may mull over a raft of different reasons as to why what should have been a winnable game was lost so easily, Moyes needs to play Antonio and Scamacca together (tried and failed already this season), Moyes needs to replace Soucek with Downes (tried and failed towards the end of the game) and possibly the most contentious, Moyes needs to start Benrahma more often (started last couple of games but was withdrawn towards the end, despite scoring both times)

There are even those who claim Moyes wearing a baseball type cap was to blame, whoever or whichever the fact remains that Hammers were second best for most of the match and despite their outrageous attempts at 'gamesmanship' on a continuous basis, especially Zaha for his diving Palace deserved to go away with all three points. There were some positives to take from the game, but hope and happiness were hardly in such short supply on the long and very annoying journey through the paddles run by morons in Stratford and the crowded Central Line that they seemed to have faded and DIED! -Ed

What is moyes doing?

Cannot motivate the team, negative tactics , picking out of form players (bowen and soucek shouldnt be starting) and takes off the one player that can produce a bit of magic. Doesnt play to our new signings strengths. Refuses to play 2 upfront. He has a serious problem with benhrama. Time for Moyes to get out of the club

On paper we should have our best squad ever, but like you say Moyes doesn't know how to get the best out of these players.Scam has completely gone off the boil, but we aren't playing to his strengths, our crossing has to be the worst in the prem! 2 pints has a lovely touch but is he a luxury player? Up against tough,no nonsense players he's a bit of a lightweight,Benny has his faults but he's only ever got 1 thing on his mind - attack. Our defence needs a major shake up too,has moyes taken us as far as he can?

Look at last season the results after we beat Liverpool 3-2 have been poor to say the least and the players IMO are not buying into what Moyes wants to do because they no its rubbish and backward thinking...Irvine and Pearce left how much longer before those in charge wake up and smell the Shit thats coming off the pitch and sidelines week in week out.

Nev, you're summing up at the end was spot on. If Big Mick had gone for the corner flag we would have had a point and an undeserved draw.

You cant play as we did and cry when you get beat. Palace deserved the win.

I've said since the season started, we are one dimensional and teams have worked us out. I also said Moyes could be gone when we have the World Cup break. I stand by that now.

Oh yes he did, final two minutes at Selhurst Park...not mentioned in the article for fear of evoking post palace stress disorder even further!

You've got to come to the conclusion that with proberbly one of the best squads we've ever had why has it all gone pear shaped ?, its got to be the coaching and managerial decisions as to team selection & tactics ,but what about the great runs in Europe i hear you say and yes ,you cant deny some spectacular results ,last year and especially this year ,but in our own league we've been goin downhill since last year and there dosnt seem to be any answers , corse we've all got our reasons for the team goin tits up , i myself am furious every time i see Souchec's name on the team sheet , however i tend to go against the general conclusion that Scama and Ant should play up front together they are both to much alike Scama possess more skill on the ball and Ant is like a bulldozer ,he frightens the crap out of defences , as i say we all seem to have the answers but to tell you the truth they dont give two shites what we think ,they pay millions to a man and his back room staff to come up with solutions ,and it aint happening ,one thing is true someones got to do something very soon otherwise we are in deep shite .

The 'transition' from Irvine and Pearce leaving the coaching staff is being felt very much at the moment, but considering this is essentially a team that has been virtually rebuilt they are not doing too badly. Perhaps though, Moyes want to be a bit more friendly to some players and a bit less to others! He is paid handsomely to come up with the answers, although maybe people calling for his head should be mindful that, whilst NOT being the answer, he is better placed to deal with the problem than a new manager coming in.

Not sure about that Nev ,a new boss offten breathes new life into a club and into the bargain there is no more animosity ,im sure with Moyes there are grudges and dislikes between him and some players ,and what if he cant get us playing well again ?, dont forget weve been in this dull mode since last year .

For me regarding Moyes, apparently we are still looking at Tuchel!! You know the one that didn't stop whingeing & el pel springs to mind!! Lose against Leicester & the dildos might think get some one in for the World Cup break, but I reckon they will keep moyes till Xmas
