Skin Of Teeth Or Thin Ice?-Moyes Threshold!

The old adages and oxymoron phrases will keep on coming thick and fast IF Hammers persist in their David Moyes 'blind faith' journey, there is simply no visible light at the end of a very long tunnel and action needs to be taken now! This is NOT a knee jerk reaction to the club's exit from the 'useless' cup as t is known in 'soccer's' inner circle, well most of the new breed of owners call it soccer now don't they?

No this lies far deeper than being beaten on penalties by a lower league side, albeit one that has actually WON the PREMIER LEAGUE, no this article relates to a mindset that once served the club and the team so well, so well that teams now know exactly just how to set up against a David Moyes team that all the previous success over the last couple of years is slowly unravelling, due mainly to the fact that Hammers are currently a 'one trick' managerial pony!

David Moyes's reluctance to change his tactics is really hurting the club on so many levels, again we refer to the departures of Alan Irvine and Stuart Pearce as 'watershed' departures, their true importance, including Psycho's unique 'eye in the sky' perspective are sorely missing. Perhaps the club might have done more to facilitate their staying, in a similar way as they could have handled the want away Craig Dawson situation?

Viewers will note a distinct absence of a board supports the manager in today's press round ups, because there IS a distinct possibility while David Moyes is arranging World Cup friendlies for the players not off to the 'gay hunters footy wash' the club are preparing their own trial without jury for a certain Scotsman. Moyes' pay off costs are not great, especially as he only has a couple of his 'own staff' with him now.

There has been a lot of 'in the background ' movement surrounding the club recently right through it's infrastructure, it is as if there are plans for a relatively clean sweep, so don't be surprised if Saturday's game against Leicester is Moyes' last in full charge! - Ed

For all the good he has done and we all appreciate that he is very ltd and looking dated in his ways......buisnesses always look over the figures to see what is happening and react accordingly so if our board look over the figures regarding team performances over the last year they will make very disturbing reading and point to only one man being responsible and that is Moyes and he knows he is treading water and the board have to act and act now.

Who would we attract they say well there would be plenty and i mean plenty of applicants for the job make no doubt about it and this is where the board have to be thorough and professional and if need be seek advice on who would be a good fit for the club going forward.
The board should not jump at the first "Name" because they think it will appease the fanbase know they need to do a proper vetting and checking of the mans CV otherwise we could be back to square one.more years ago than i care to rmbr Arsenal appointed Wenger and everyone thought who Gooner fans among them but the board had clearly done there homework and instead of jumping in for the usual suspects on the managerial merrygoround they did some out of the box thinking and look at the rewards they reaped.....So please when its not an IF now but when the board pull the trigger be sure you have every cog turning to get the club and the fans the right manager we deserve.

I still believe Moyes will turn it around. We're only 14 games in and will not get a break for the Worthless Cup until end of December at which time the games will come thick and fast. I agree that we do appear to have taken a step backwards but the talent is at the club and seeing how our players perform in 'Guitar' will be a good opportunity for Moyes to work with the other players, the up and coming youth and keep one on making sure none of our players end up injured during this godforesaken money the sole driver tournament.

Moyse “ working with our youth”,I don’t think so. Since Declan Rice made the first team, I think Johnson is the only youth product to have been given a real chance. As it happens, I don’t think he is good enough to become a first- team regular, but that isn’t the point. Moyse will only risk young players in the deadest of dead games and that is no environment in which to judge anyone. Ashby could well be the answer to our RB problem, but how can we tell. The guy never gets minutes in a meaningful game. The failure to develop our young players, his inability successfully to integrate incoming players and his offhand treatment of players such as Benrahma mark Moyse down foe me as a dinosaur in a high tech age. He is not the manager to take this club forward and, if we don’t act soon, he will drag us down.

Always nice to welcome a new member, especialy one who wants to add to the debate rather than one who just wants to have an argument, like the MD character people are referring to.

No worries. I've done some personal reflection of late and have decided to try reduce the negativity in my daily online endeavors and tone down my responses to such. Was just trying to end the antipathy but some people clearly like to indulge. Seems my shot in the dark didn't work as the continuing comments show. I tried. I'll stick to the more positive comments. Now where are those David Moyes posts hahaha

Upon yourself, from your very first post you've tried to antagonise. You bite at any comment you don't agree with & you've done more than your fair share of name calling & I actually can't believe that someone that has been on here for 15 + years agrees with you when they normally have such a balanced view on things.Time for a break I think,if this site has people like you on it now I want nothing to do with it anymore.Cheers,Burkie Dartford,Essex,Boogers etc it's been great while it lasted
