We can safely say that Mubama is not on Moyes radar. Can't believe Aguerd still starts either. Or Areola

That is some subs bench...it was only ever going one way after June...Covid etc...yazz & the plastic population

What the formation looks like on paper, doesn't necessarily mean they play that way.
Give that Sheff U employ a 3-5-2 I expect WHU's fullbacks to push up to occupy Bogle & Thomas.
I expect Sheff U to sit back and make West Ham break them down, not Moyes style!
An early goal will see West Ham take 3 points and adi their Goal Difference.
COYI!

was sacrificed for rice in a more forward roll but as it has proved rice was not a prolific scorer where Soucek is proving to be once again

Souscef is becoming his old self...what a relief for everyone, especially the missus at home I'm guessing but hey who knows

We won and did not really have to do much to win but here is my gripe the "low block" fine against the better teams but the fact we drop deep let sides like this have the ball and pass it about a bit it gives them confidence and yes i know todays opponents were not very good but it shows in my eyes that Moyes does not want to press even against the weaker teams and that is frustrating because we certainly have the players to do so and Kudus looked good when he came on Benni not so much.

Gripe over

It boils my piss Burkie. Bench Antonio for a game. Give the kid a chance he'll destroy defences...

Over rate our youngsters so thinking he would destroy defenses may be a tad optimistic. Players such as Diangana, Ngakia. the Reeces Burke and Oxford, Dan Potts, Ashby, Perkins, Freddie Sears, the list of youngsters our fans had high hopes for is longer than my arm. Where are they all now? What are they doing? Rice is the only one in recent times to solidly break through and even he didn't exactly cover himself in glory as a CB but had to be moved forward a touch to make his name. Maybe, just maybe, the backroom boys are better at analysing our kids better than we think.

He scored a hat trick for Ajax a week before he signed for us. So if the lad wasn't in form when he arrived. Moyes will have knocked it out of him by now. Antonio needs to sit out a game and let Kouros loose...

Well we're obvs talking about different "kids". Thought you were referring to Mubama not Kudus. And as others have previously pointed out (Haller), scoring for Ajax in their Mick the Mouse league is a whol different ball game to the Premier League. That said, I'd love to see more of Kudus. As a striker?

boogerscaravan's picture

I think it's his best position, he has frightening pace and trickery. Much more suited to the Premier Leagues demands than that of a target man. Haller and Scammaca were built differently. This lad can rip defenders a new one...
