coming in but most is the media taking the mick, the one that does look like it could happen is Kalvin Phillips, yes the same bloke that two seasons ago knocked us back because he wanted a big club. The loan price is 7 million and the wages are 130,000 a week for 4 months which totals nearly 9 million for a player with a massive injury record. The thing that really worries me is who will Moyes bench to make way for him, Soucek he never drops or subs whether he is having a good game or a shit game. JWP who he relies on for his corners and free kicks which at the moment are hit and miss or Alvarez who is a Steidten import and is the first player he takes of each game. For me I would rather us bring in someone that can be a good cover for Alvarez and hopefully if Moyes new contract doesn’t happen can replace Soucek.
Talk is all it is
And cannot wait to hear the usual..we tried this and that put in a gazillion bid for Mbappe but just coud not get the deal done in time.
If its mainstream media talk / gossip
.. Im interested.
If its Claret and Hugh.. forget it.. the mouthpiece of the board!
All Mr Southon
and his cronies do is slate the manager, this is the third season in 4 we have not been scrapping at the wrong end of the table not the other way around.
Talk of £9million !!!
I'm not saying Kalvin Phillips wouldn't be a useful addition to the West Ham squad for the remainder of the season, but it'll be for 4 months?
I doubt he'd be interested in a longer term deal, and personally I wouldn't want him long term. But £9million???!!!
Given Ben Johnsons recent performances, wouldn't Moyes be better off giving him some more playing time as a midfielder (I've been advocating him as a midfielder for years) , a new contract and get 3 years for the same ££ as 4 months of Phillips sitting in the treatment room?
Can't see why we are in for
Can't see why we are in for Phillips. Surely he is not starting over Alvarez or JWP. Not exactly a priority & the money being mentioned is ludicrous.
Missed the obvious one Enfield
Soucek...yeah i know he is Moyes fav his new Fellaini but he could be a better option off the bench...ones thing for sure is if the Loan fee is as large as they say then he will have to be playing.
Did not forget Soucek Bike.
Did not forget Soucek Bike. We all know he is not being dropped
Looking further ahead
and we may not want it but if Pacman goes as expected for his £85million buyout clause then two players i would like to see us go for and get would be Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze
I think Phillips should come
I think Phillips should come and will come. I also see him getting a lot of game time. The squad is so thin. Lets see what he does for 4 months or so. Nobody can predict the future. Short or long term. The board will not make a rash decision, given our track record of the past. We will ship one or 2 out before the window closes...
It seems we've got him now. I
It seems we've got him now. I'll welcome him for sure!!
Boogers
How went the blunts trip? i thought you may have had a Russel when we were not given the Pen at the end i had pictures of you launching yourself out of the stands to tell the Ref what you thought and taking time to give Zoummms a peace of your mind as you were marched off by the old bill!
As they say, the games gone
As they say, the games gone mad. The Bowen penalty shout happened right in front of me. We could not believe it was not given. The blunts penalty was a joke, you could see clear as day McBurnie jumps at Areola leading with his elbow. He took Areola out. He's always at it, horrible git of a player.
Had a bust up in a pub Boogerscaravan Jnr ended up naffing one of the Northern Monkeys off so yours truly had to wade in with Boogerscaravan older Jnr. I took one or two in the ribs but we held our own. No plod to speak of at the time. But I'm too old for this shit. Thinking this could be my last awayday 60 and out!!!
LOL...
... top man for having a go and protecting the young'ns!
Good job Ive retired as I'm
Good job Ive retired as I'm still not 100%, aches, pains, the "pretty vacant" expression. No more Jaeger bombs for me, Mrs Boogers is dining out on this one big time!!!
Hits home doesn't it Boogers
I had my own shock last week when i went to see the
Dr about an annoying niggly problem that wont go away and whilst very professional and he new how to treat the problem and all its what he said that makes you think lol it went along the lines of "well it has to be expected in a man of your age"! that hit home lol lets face it none of us feel the age we are till we do something silly or get reminded just how old we are.
