Hammers transfer supremo Tim Steidten is juggling with the limited finances and assets available to him in order to facilitate as many as TEN signings, both in and out of the club. Whether the deals can be got over the line before February the 1st is debatable, but he seems determined to give it a good try!

The deal to acquire the much sought after Kalvin Phillips from Champions Man City is very close to fruition, with just a few not too difficult details to finalise. It appears there are incoming player deals being investigated that include AZ Alkmaar right back Yukinari Sugawara.

There is also strong interest in Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia and Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman. However before fans get too 'loved' up about the impending arrivals it should be recognised that virtually ANY player movement will have to be done on a quid pro quo basis in order to satisfy stringent FFP rules!

Unfortunately, Hammers don't exactly have many high value players to move on to finance the impending deals, however there IS genuine interest In Said Benrahma despite his recent poor performances and for some reason clubs are actually interested in Aaron Cresswell AND 'Uncle' Danny Ings!

Michael Antonio despite his age is coveted. and Thilo Kehrer will make his loan move permanent. It looks as though 'homegrown' Ben Johnson will also be on his way this window otherwise he can leave on a free transfer in June.

There is also substantial interest in Lukasz Fabianski fro the Arab League and it might suit all parties for him to sign a lucrative 18 month deal before the window closes. Getting 'decent' deals over the line in the January window is always fraught with issues, but as Hammers will be both a buying and selling club they should have a unique opportunity to exploit the market.

David Sullivan appears to fully trust Tim Steidten, who along with the backroom staff he has assembled seems to be hauling Hammers transfer approach dragging and screaming into this century, long may it last! - Ed

Completely changed the game on Sunday Burkie. 10 more years, 10 more years Ben Johnson was the chant. Looks like we're getting little Jimmy Osman from the Norwegian league. Very young, but a mini Kudos in the making.

Hoping we get him for Benrahma to bring on for 25 mins or so. At least he runs forward with great pace and not check back all the time and pass square like Benny does these days. Totally shot of confidence like Fornals and Ings.

Blame Dino for that one!!! 18 million for him is a lot normally I'd expect 6 million for a player in that league. But he has star quality I think??

Oi big boy, what's your name?

With the heavy schedule of competing in Europe and League, does the squad need more youthful exuberance or willy experience ?

Departure of Bennie would suit all parties, Danny Ings needs a different set up, but
keeping Ben Johnson and Max Cornet can only benefit, IMHO

I am soooo excited if this guy joins us. I think he will be a valuable addition to the squad, we need a ball winner and this guy can deliver in spades. Playing along side Alverez we will look solid and allow JWP to become the player he is with a focus on going forward. Not a done deal yet but fingers crossed!!!

I agree with Blimey and Dartford. I will just say though in defence of Ings having watched him at Sheffield up close and personal for 90 mins. There is a very good player in there still. Moyes just needs to find a way of using him properly. The crowd were behind him and he looked sharp and was potentially our best player over the whole game...

I'm not calling for him to go anywhere. Moyes just needs to see another way of playing, fvck knows how though!!!

I think this will be a great signing I dont think he has bought him to replace anybody, but it it will give Moyes a chance to give players a chance to sit on the bench i.e Soucek and Zouma (i know Philips aint a centre half but he can rotate players a bit more. Here's one I havnt seen, wonder what's going to happen when Flynn Downes comes back off loan? is there an option to buy? he is playing well for Southampon but I think Moyes will want him back. Ogbonna Cresswelll and Zuma will all need replacing and I think Moyes will do one of his conversion jobs like he tried to do with Antonio a few seasons ago Johnson to centre half one things for sure he has a lot more options with Phillips on board. Cant help thinking he was offered to us for Paqutta and some cash- wonder if this is going to happen again in the summer.

Have to agree with Bibs. He has done sod all. Yet has a good 20 minutes against a poor team & all of a sudden he is the dogs bollocks. Same as Ings. We need a massive cull. Jonson, Ings, Fornals, Cornet, Benrahma & Cresswell are all deadwood as far as i'm concerned.
Then in the summer move Zouma & Ogbonna .
Tim will be busy.

Thats so not true, he was playing in a completely different position on Sunday ,drivin forwards from midfield, i think its like getting a new blindin midfielder for nothing ,although its not like Dino to take a punt .
