There's A Reason Moyes Replacement Names Have Appeared In Numbers!

It was all relatively quiet on the West Ham front apart from the post match fall out from the Palace game which essentially kissed goodbye to any hope of another season's European football, save various rumours about David Moyes' contract.

Hey presto, there are suddenly a plethora of Moyes replacement names appearing all over the press! The most high profile of which being Sporting manager Ruben Amorim, he allegedly flew into London for talks regarding him replacing Moyes.

However, reading between the lines it might just have been that he and the missus were offered a private jet flight to London for the day for informal talks and a chance for Mrs Amorin to 'hit' Harrods!

Whatever the reasoning behind the visit, the outcome was a somewhat predictable “Ruben Amorim will not be on the bench for Liverpool or West Ham next season,” no surprise there then, no one really expected him to take up Hammers offer of a job when he had already turned down Liverpool.

Tomas Tuchel and Julen Lopetegui have both featured in the 'leaked' stories that have emanated from the club, which makes the more sceptical of fans wonder if these names have anything to do with season ticket renewals!

The deadline for which has already mysteriously crept from the end of April to the 2nd of June, it appears that the board have genuine fears of a low take up if David Moyes is perceived to be next years manager.

The threat of fans voting with their wallets is all too real and the board look to have taken the only real option they have and that is to NOT renew Moyes' contract, or at least imply it! Smoke and mirrors, now where have we seen that before? - Ed

Where's all the " wheres all the Moyes haters gone " gone ? ,see, all this is driving me a bit doolally, my dose of sedatives have gone up to 30 mg, I've started a dependency on the old gange, and the wife will be looking for proceedings next year if I'm still following west ham .
Seriously,if Moyes is given a new contract next year then that's me ,finito, kaput, arrivederci, I'm off ,I couldn't take another year like this .

Whoever we appoint as manager may struggle and when West Ham are desperately trying to avoid relegation and he gets the sack, then maybe the Board will bring back Moyes to once again organize the Great Escape.......LOL!!

This comment is a bit late, however, the topic interested me, and naturally, I understand the frustration, however the shear condemnation of Moyes seems excessive. Is it time for him to move on? It would appear so, barring a win out which I highly doubt. Personally, I have enjoyed the last 4 seasons immensely.Keep in mind that this real downturn begins up at St. James in late March with a controversial match, to put it as politely and politically correctly as possible! Personally, I hope we can falter into the ECL, but mutually decide that it's time for West Ham United to go with a more continental minded, younger gaffer. That said, cheers Moyes, you always have a spot as far as I'm concerned.

Not meaning to be at all rude but do you actually go to any of the games or even watch the complete game on TV?

I can see why you have enjoyed the results of previous seasons and probably able to watch the dross called Moyesball, I cant and have had enough, his shelf life past even before Prague.

As I've said before and could well be the reason Moyes has not signed the supposed contract offer. Moyes is an old school Manager (Dinosaur) if you like. He wants autonomy and to deal with Dildo and Lady Butplug about transfers along with Ze German.

Under the current contract he does. However, I think the gruesome threesome have devised a new structure, where this no longer will happen.

I fully expect the new incumbent to be called first team coach. He will have sole responsibility for picking and managing the first team squad. He will not be involved in recruiting, he may be asked his opinion, but thats it. No more boardroom meetings. Ze German will go out and attract the players and deal wit the Dildo and Lady Butplug.

The new Moyes will report into Ze German and will not interact with the Lady and the tramp..

Just my two peneth!!

I have to agree with Dartford, anyone who has had to endure Moyesball in the flesh will testomise it is killing the club and its loyal fan base. Much is made regarding the atmosphere at Stratford, but on the rare occasions when the crowd have been presented with 'front foot' football the atmosphere is electric!

Away games are my only chance of seeing us in the Flesh and Sunday at Palace was about the worst performance i have seen from a West Ham side in all my years following them through the 70's/80's/90's/00's/10's/now the 20/s....and there have been some bad ones trust me but nothing compares to that total capitulation

Blackburn away in 2001. 7-1 under Roeder. That has to be up there Bike. Even DiCanio said we was shit on live TV when being interviewed after.

Sullivan & Steidten disagree over who should be the next manager so if i was Tim i would pack my stuff up and move on as every Fan knows this is only going one way.

Sullivan employs a man to do a job but as usual stops him from doing it.

I have got to say, this is the first season in 20 years that i am contemplating the season ticket renewal,i have been leaving games early, one game was only 20 mins in,we have rode our luck these last few seasons, and where we are in the league makes us look better than we are, teams are around us have been shit also,we have had 5 whacked past us what 3 times, and the inconsistancy at home has been abismal, its even got to the mentioning on here that we have been too pissed off to debate, really that is the icing on the cake.

Im in Aus and still have my season ticket, less and less family / friends actually want to borrow it, the offering is frankly p*** poor! I have tried Ticket Exchange many times and NEVER did I get any money back. I kept the ST as I stupidly believed the story about "long waiting list for ST's". I will try to exchange my ticket for an end of row in the hope it might get some takers if not... I'll just give it a miss!
