West Ham United have just completed what many are claiming is the club's BEST transfer activity in the last window for many a year, but could it have been so much better? The fact that the club had to send out over £100 Million of 'talent' out on loan does rather cast an ill light on who was in control of those expensive imports.
Famed for his due diligence ahead of player purchases, ex-Hammers boss 'Dithering Dave' Moyes seems to have had a mighty ricket with the purchases of the above mentioned players, delve back further and Nikola Vlasic rears his ugly head as well.
Having had the transfer 'kitty' well and truly decimated by Manuel Pellegrini ahead of his arrival, it was assumed Moyes would bring a much calmer approach to transfers, but the figures don't lie and for every success he had at least two failures!
Heavens fobid if he had been allowed to bring in Harry Naguire and Scott Mc Tominay as he had originally planned!
Hammers can now look forward to a more balanced and less ego driven policy whereby the manager 'suggests' players he wants and a PROPR director of football goes out and gets them!-Ed

Hear hear…. And we still have
Hear hear…. And we still have some deadwood in the shape of Ings and you forgot to mention how much we lost on Scamacca - €13m
Evolution....
I see this period as being one of "Evolution" as this club moves forward in an organised, professional and sustainable way.
I have always tried to be respectful of David Moyes because as well as saving this club, steadying this ship and bringing us Real Progress and Success for the first time in many supporters's lives, his methods and purchases became more and more outdated and rigid.
I do credit David Sullivan with the foresight to appoint a D.O.F and a damn Good One in Tim Steidten. This guy can not only identify players, as well as sell the club and project to them, he is also a master negotiator, which is a much needed skill in this game. I have a very real fear that he will be poached at some point in the future, but fortunately and uniquely, we have Mark Noble, who as well as having the clubs long-term interests at heart, is a man with the dedication and ability to do just as well at this club.
I have been non-critical and patient up to a point, but I have to be honest, and I could never understand many of the type of players that Moyes chased and the MANY that he MISSED.
Ollie Watkins, Michael Olise and Eze are just a few players who could have been at this club right now........but, I'll have to leave it there.
We now have a professional way of operating at long last being run by people we have faith in implementing the style of football we want to see and building a platform for the future of this club to take us to the next level playing the West Ham Way style of football.
Although it will take a little time for the players to get used to each other, I feel confident that we now have personnel to to give us the style of football and hopefully the success that we desire.
COYI
moyes master blunders.
Although moyes steadied the ship and got us a cup i personally think if he had stayed i think we might have been relegation material because i'm sure kudus would have gone.He certainly made a few good buys but overall he lost us a lot of money as well.Hugill,Ings, cornet, ward prowse, vlasic, benrahma, zouma, aguerd, phillips wasted loan money, scamacca, only downes really got a profit. We are transitional i feel this season so i'm expecting around 10th but if we do break into european spot a real bonus but i at least expect us to be in europe in the following season at least as the team will be well bedded in the only misgivings i have with the current transfers is not signing a pacy forward i think we should have paid aston villa the money for Duran i just feel he would have been an instant hit but now i feel we have missed the boat on him his price will increase especially how he has started off this season i don't really get the fullkrig signing to be honest i hope it works out but i'm not sure with him at present.
Seeing much of the same
With Fullkrug as I did with Haller, Scamacca and yes, Ings. We're not getting the ball to him and also expecting him to play the lone striker
