I've been calling for 3 at the back for ages. However, I don't see that system with 2 holding midfielders. Never have done!!

Emerson is going to get roasted and how on earth Pacman starts really is beyond me....

Ironic that this team is crying out for Soucek! Maybe that's how pacqueta starts? If he persists with 3 at the back, which I think is the way forward. He'll regret letting JWP go!

Best start to a game I've seen. No doubt this is the way forward. Balanced side. Alvarez playing ahead of Rodriguez, it's working!

We're playing well, the goal aside. Pacqueta is a passenger again. It's like playing with 10 men. Better though, need to regroup now. With the stoppage.

So what is Loppy got to do mmm? no shots no threat Pacman not doing a thing ...and fuck me Alvarez red card what bollox that is

We don’t make it easy for ourselves. Alvarez should never have dived in. Somerville is not the same threat he was off the bench. Got to give Antonio 45 minutes.

The result isn't surprising me. Alvarezs red hasn't helped matters somewhat

Surprised by the result no...starting line up with no threat inexcusable...to CDM's one you just no is always a red card waiting to happen the other just not got the quality for this league and the "creative" midfield maestro just not been at it at all main strikers injured so the beast has to go on but not picked WTF.
As much as i detested Moyes and his way of playing at least you new what he was doing this guy has not got a clue...different formations each week starting eleven changes yet keeps Pacman playing despite being fit for purpose right now.

Will he get sacked lol no chance we all know Sullivan he will not pull the trigger until our prem place is under threat...Guess what it is seen better West Ham sides relegated and that will happen if this Joke stays in charge.

Álvarez, Paquetá, def not premier players not worth starting them esp paqueta this season has been a passenger and once again we lose for the lack of a centre forward why not buy 3 centre forwards and may be one of them will stay fit to play a game .Utter crap to day no togetherness oh well always next week

We tried the buy 3 strikers. Mido, Benni & someone else who I forgot. All shit.
We need to sack the manager. Get Jose in. He will sort the shit and steady it. There seems to be no plan or know how. It's painful. We can't continue like this.

This is nothing but awful this season, but then whats new,i have seen nothing that inspires me any more than when Moyes was in charge.

We were in front for the first ten minutes we were good and Woods scored I knew he was going to score even had a bet on him so I f I I knew why didn’t Sloppy put 2 players on him so we were 1 goal down so wot keep fighting but unfortunately Alvarez got sent off the mental problems didn’t just stop at the coach f@£k nose what he said in the dressing room but wot ever it was it didn’t work and I am starting to wonder if the players are starting to doubt his tactics don’t think it’s all his fault because we would have been shouting leave him I weren’t there but he was as soon as he got sent off that was the end think we get mentally scared and wondering wha to expect against Everton and Arsenal so once we lose against Newcastle Sloppy is gone

Bikey I think we should start the Mourinho train up, I'd faaaackin love him. Even just for his media amusement!! Enfield is on board!! Honk honk..

As for Moyes sitting at home laughing his socks off. He's probably got JWP bringing him his cocoa...

... You can add a few more descriptors!

On the subject of the manager, one of the West Ham bloggers suggested that during the dark days of Moyes the fan base was split typically around 50/50 on sack or keep. Sloppy seems to have galvanized the fans to nearly ALL wanting him gone!

Is that very few, if any of us, wanted him in the first place. Given the title of Spanish Moyes before even a ball had been kicked had sort of set the mood and in my opinion I sort of get the feeling that many fans are in glee at seeing the team struggle to be proven right.
There was a lot of speculation as to who would have been Moyes successor and I doubt we will ever find out if they were close to the truth or just summer media lazy journalism.
I don't believe for one moment that the fan base was 50/50 on the Moyes stay or go argument, but it is certainly clear that the Moyes lovers are getting a bit vocal, if not on here, but certainly other West Ham forums. And that worries me because that pr*ck is still out of work and a worst case scenario would be that Moyes steps in again. There's not many available choices out there for free, maybe Potter which would be an even worse choice but I can't see Sullivan sacking Lopetegui withe the resulting paying up of contract AND buying out another choice who is under contract such as Franks or Howe. Orgers choice Gary O'Neil is having a fun time right now which goes to show even some of our choices aren't all that great
The only other freebie I see being bandied about is Edin Terzic, but what does he know about the Premier League?

You could be right, just depends on time in the season, closer to the end of last season a lot wanted Moyes gone.

I cant see him returning. He's thick skinned enough to consider it but even Sullivan isnt that stupid... Is he?

I feel the way it's going with Lopi that we are going around in a circle as a club more backwards than forward than the club wanted to go.I feel Lopi was a pure sullivan choice being free i feel Steinden wasn't his choice and now is staying clear of the s--t that will hit the fan.Sullivan will never admit he has got it wrong because he always goes for the cheaper deal and uses salthouse to much you now have the oldest squad in the premier league buying fulkreg hasn't helped i'm really surprised steinden getting such a ageing slow striker when there were so many younger ones. Most foreign players that haven't played in the premier before normally struggle at first but some make it but we seem to buy the ones that don't make it.Is it only me but can you really understand what lopi says it's all baffling so how do we expect the players to know what he wants at least get a manager in that speaks perfect english so don't bother with sarri.

Communication is a problem despite so many Latino’s.

We are now the League of Nations and speaking clear understanding English is important.
