Potter and Macaulay have identified what is needed in this squad, which was fairly obvious in the first place; however, the club has stopped talking about positions and started naming names.
The Hammers have reignited their interest in AC Milan English duo, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori.
The ex-Chelsea pair have been on the Hammers’ radar for a while now, with the club having tested the waters with the pair before and are looking to test them again. Manchester United, due to their striker woes recently, have highlighted Tammy Abraham as a target, so West Ham will compete against them for his signature.
Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori is seeking a move away from Milan after a disappointing season for the Italian giants. Following recent announcements, the Englishman is eager to return to the Premier League to boost his chances of regaining a spot in the England starting squad.
Newcastle held previous interest in the 27-year-old, but attention has since dwindled due to their primary interest elsewhere, so West Ham will be making a move soon enough, but whether the club can convince him to go to a club that also had an underwhelming season is another question.
The door is open for Mavropanos this window, and the same with Frenchman Jean-Clair Todibo, if the correct offer is to come in.
And in other news, the club have officially had the green light for highly rated Celtic youth prospect Daniel Cummings.

You don't say. Ha! Cue the rush by fans to go and buy a season ticket.
Can't believe we missed out
Can't believe we missed out on Kellerher. He would have been a great starting block.
You just know we are going to end up with over rated, over the hill and over paid shit.
