West Ham confirmed that Jean-Clair Todibo would be made a permanent deal in the region of £33,000,000 from OGC Nice after the obligation clause of the East London side to not be relegated was fulfilled… just about.
The Hammers last summer fended off interest from numerous other clubs, one of which was Italian giants Juventus.
Since joining West Ham, the Frenchman has received mixed reviews from his 2024/25 campaign. A combination of injuries alongside two different managers, one of whom he had a falling out with, has caused him to have a bumpy season and definitely not the best of his career so far.
But despite what many would call an ‘average’ season for Todibo, Graham Potter has put the Frenchman up for sale, and the club are willing to hear out offers despite the player just being made permanent.
In light of this news, the two clubs that have already shared an interest in Jean-Clair Todibo are Newcastle and Manchester United.
Manchester United have kept their eyes on Todibo for a very long time, with the club being denied the opportunity to sign him from OGC Nice due to the Jim Ratcliffe sharehold in the French side. The fee that Manchester United are willing to pay is unknown, but with their recent spending and cherry picking of other Premier League clubs as well as the longstanding interest, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if an offer for Todibo soon came.
Newcastle’s interest is minimal due to their focus on many other central defenders, but Todibo was a name that came up when discussing their potential targets.
However, it is important to note that the club are NOT willing to sell Todibo for a loss and he will remain at West Ham unless someone is willing to spend more than the £33 million he was acquired for.

Surprised
He's up for sale actually. Yeah, it wasn't a very impressive first season but neither was it a disaster either and quite a few players, just like the fans, seemed to have lost interest and direction.. Nothing really went right from the owners down to the ball boys this season and I don't see Potter as being the man to successfully handle a complete firesale and recruitment policy either.
Me, personally, I don't think we have a bad squad under a tactically astute manager with maybe just a few tweaks here and there needed. And Ramsdale for starters, isn't the answer either.

Need to ship kudus and paqueta (ifnot guilty) and get some fresh young blood into the team
Difficult to know
We have no real evidence of what he can bring to the party. I think he's comfortable on the ball and maybe suited to a defensive midfield role?

Seems like Brown nose is a shoe in. Now there's no way on earth, this can be a Potter choice. He's 29 FFS. I feel this could be start of shoveling the brown stuff up hill. Leading to all things brown going forward, doesn't lend itself as an omen of good fortune now does it??
Boogers. Who is Brown nose?
Boogers. Who is Brown nose? Lol
This mini window has already been a disaster. Todibo aside. We needed 2 additions before it closes on Tuesday. Then a great deal more when it re-opens.
I can't understand these Sporting Dirctors. They only have to fo anything twice a year.. Surely all the groundwork would be done on the targets identified. Then it's pull the trigger and go when the window is open.
Josh Brownhill, Enfield, 29
Josh Brownhill, Enfield, 29 year old midfielder from Burney. Scored a few goals for them last season and Captain. When he went down with them a couple of seasons ago, he was good for the odd goal or 2. Thats the gulf in class between the Championship and the Prem..

Problem with our sporting director is he's too short to see over the keyboard and happens to be the owner!
