In the Hammers’ search to rebuild their Starting 11, Graham Potter has recently informed Emerson that he is free to discuss with other clubs and will be leaving the club this window, with multiple clubs interested.
After Potter had gotten rid of Aaron Cresswell, it will soon be Emerson set to leave, I wonder what issue Potter has got with lefty's!
Unsurprisingly, the Italian international is receiving a lot of interest from Italy, with AS Roma at the forefront keen to agree a deal as quickly as possible for Emerson to return to his old club.
Since the hiring of Graham Potter, he's embedded Ollie Scarles into the squad and chosen to leave out Emerson for the majority of matches, it’s unknown as to specifically why but with Emerson turning 31 next month the club now believe that this is the time to find a replacement and get some money while we can.
Emerson played a huge role in the Conference League campaign, and most won’t ever forget what he’s given for the club. There have been numerous clubs sniffing after him for a couple of years now, and an exit has felt imminent as of late.
It does beg the question to the club that are we going to even have any defenders at this rate? Cresswell is gone, Emerson is set to leave so that purely leaves Potter with Ollie Scarles. One left back, one right back, at this rate, we’ll have no one back!
The club have been interested in Tyrick Mitchell as well as Kyle Walker-Peters, both on a free, which would be smart business for the Hammers, seeing as we have a ‘sell-to-buy’ window.
But, to sell Emerson, we would still require a ‘fair fee’, and the club are not expected to accept a low-ball offer and will hold out if need be.
At this rate, West Ham will be lining up with a starting 7, not 11!

Loads of random names being linked with the club, unfortunately, none of them seeming to be an improvement on the ones we've released. What's worse, they've gone before even being replaced. Do they even know if any of these names even WANT to come to this club? Because you'd think they'd have been wrapped up by now if they do.

Regarding transfers and what seems to appear a reluctance on Sullivans part. Claiming no money. PSR etc. I had a thought when reading the ongoing saga Regarding former Hammer Nikola Vlasic. If West Ham don't pay an outstanding debt of £7.5m to CSKA. West Ham could be looking at a transfer ban over 3 windows. With Sullivan's reluctance to spend. Is this something he would consider?
