Freebies For Consideration Come Summertime

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Wed, 26/11/2025 - 10:43

Despite the winter window upcoming, we all know how much certain individuals love a freebie and it’s suspected that, along with the numerous departures we’re bound to see, we’ll subsequently see numerous new faces coming in.

The Hammers have recently looked at a handful of players for January due to their contracts running out in the summer, the two that peak the top of that list are Nuno’s wingman in Adama Traore and Everton’s midfielder Garner.

But, there are more feathers to be flocked than those two, one of which is that a keen view on Lean Goretzka is occurring with West Ham, analysing what is to happen with Bayern Munich. Whilst once a regular starter and considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga, he’s since started to fall out of favour, hence the stall for a new deal to be signed.

The 30-year-old has previously been linked with West Ham, off the back of winning the Conference League. The Hammers’ interest ignited, but at that moment in time, Goretzka was in the starting squad so nothing could be reached.

The club have been bitten by the numerous Bundesliga and Krauts that’ve been purchased over the past couple of years, so perhaps ze German could be a good one!

The wages are always a consideration when it comes to the ‘not so freebies’ and obviously plays a significant factor in whether a deal can or cannot be concluded, not to mention the question of “who’s the agent” always has to be asked in these scenarios.

Deluded Hammer's picture

We have enough midfielders. Think goalkeeper is a main priority as well as a young, fit and able striker. God alone knows what made Potter or Sullivan bring in Hermandsen with one of the worst Premier League record for goals conceded last year and its clear Fabs days are numbered. I've said enough about the current number one lamp post.
