Hammers Set To Offer Paqueta Support After Red Card

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 02/12/2025 - 09:02

Paqueta’s red card over the weekend has received copious amounts of media attention and criticism. Considering the way he received his red card, it doesn’t come as a surprise.

The incident had evidently built up across the game and at one point, his emotions boiled over at Daren England. His number of cataclysmic decisions that were persistently given really were getting the fans frustrated and clearly Paqman felt that too.

Seconds before the Red Card, Paqueta was having a heated word with the referee, which saw him be dragged to almost the other side of the pitch by numerous players, but his adrenaline of spite would be his Achilles heel, and as he rushed for the red, he was sent off, putting the game to bed.

After time has passed, West Ham have decided that they’ll be offering psychological support for the Brazilian, but several senior figures are said to not be happy with his actions… shock!

His actions cannot be credited nor backed as whilst it’s undisputed that all humans will inevitably have moments of intense rage or anger, his decision to act upon that feeling is where criticisms arise. Ultimately, Paqueta bit off more than he could chew, and to suffer such a comical suspension ahead of a pivotal game is an inexcusable action to most.

Physiologically? Scarred. Lateral thinking? Non-existent. The scandal situation would take a toll on any human being, but those emotions have to be kept off the pitch rather than on it. The underlying anger the Brazilian has towards officials is what needs to be controlled, discussed and solved for the future. - LN

I think he thinks he's Di Canio. He's not good enough to lace Di Canios boots. On a day we should have been celebrating Billy Bonds, everyman should have gone out there an play like there bollox depended on it.

Paqueta is a disgrace. Someone else can pick up the circus that he conducts on field - Get Rid!!!

The second yellow was necessary. However, considering what went on before in that match, Paqueta's first yellow was disgraceful. That referee had an agenda, almost as if he was trying to redeem his massive mistake in disallowing a Liverpool goal against Tottenham this season.

Well earning £150 thousand a week mate you could afford to pay to see a shrink.....get him out he does not want to be here and let someone who wants to wear the shirt have the chance. On a day where all West Ham fans were mourning the loss of Bonzo this selfish self centred prick shows his true colours and makes it all about him...If he ever plays in a West Ham shirt again i cannot wait to see how the crowd react what a wanker.

My thoughts exactly. He's waited till now to say he had no support? He's not like a normal bloke working the grind, 13 hr shifts living hand to mouth. He finishes work after training goes home in his limo to his mansion. Im sure if he needed help he could've afforded the best possible and wouldn't made a difference to putting food on the table. No sympathy.
