All aboard the exit train - A hard sell

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Mon, 24/08/2026 - 10:40

West Ham United are set to sell several players as the transfer window nears its close, with reports suggesting the Hammers could see FOUR players leave in the remaining nine days.

Edson Alvarez, Soungoutou Magassa, Jean-Clair Todibo and the latest, Malick Diouf are all expected to leave.

Alvarez has numerous clubs interested in him but unfortunately, his wages appear to be a stumbling block for most clubs, Soungoutou Magassa has recently had Crystal Palace develop interest in the young Frenchman so perhaps that could develop in the coming days.

In other news, Marseille agreed personal terms with Jean-Clair Todibo a few weeks ago but developments of the deal are difficult seeing as the French side are currently in a tricky financial situation.

With the other three staring down the barrel of loan deals, Malick Diouf seems to be the only player who could leave permanently and for a significant fee. Sunderland and Brentford both registered interest a few weeks ago but Sunderland have since pulled out, signing an alternative player.

Brentford are keen on signing Malick Diouf but only for the right price. The Hammers are asking for a deal worth £50,000,000, whereas Brentford are looking to conclude a deal worth £38,000,000.

West Ham will look to replace Malick Diouf should he be sold.

In the meantime, a centre-half is still a priority and another forward option is being explored.

Another midfielder option is currently not being considered.

Nine days remain, and West Ham will look to get in two signings without the sale of Malick Diouf. That two will become three signings should the Senegalese international leave.

The players who do not want to be at our club and play for us should be got rid of pronto. Todibo, Alvarez, AWB, Cornet, Diouf, Magassa. Get rid, don't want anyone here who doesn't want to give their all.

Saw a news article this morning that Palace are trying to get Bowen for 50 million. A non story, he's not going anywhere. Just creates unrest!!

Ten men couldn't carry, couldn't carry Lampard.. Klint!!!

Unfortunatley. I don't think qe will get a pretty penny for any off the above. Look at AWB. Only went on loan with an option to buy. This is the only way these will leave the club. All we will get is loan money. Another fucking disasterous window with another disasterous season to follow.

Why are WHU paying them they aint going to leave the club Pronto if they can have good wage and don't have to do F all for it, you see them in training but when there on the pitch but their body language screams that they don't want to be there so don't pay em Alverez wages would have paid for Earthy and Marshalls wages

But clubs are not allowed to do that...heard the argument muted elsewhere but some employment Lawyer and sports specialist pointed out that rules prevent that from happening...players bread buttered both sides

For new CB so he's going to be quality isn't he! then we can push on...Sutton have a few decent defenders but apparently after i had a word with a couple of them they want to stay at a well run club!
Still i am sure we can get a few out of Partick Thistle and Kelty Hearts that should keep the bank manager happy.

We should never have kept nuno we should have sacked nuno straight after relegation because the negativity around the club has carried on into this season bowen looks like a haunted man should take the captaincy away from him it has affected his play he has regressed we need to change the 442 system it doesn't work for this batch of players better playing 433 system put aerola back in goal might give the defence a bit more confidence he has a better presence than hermandson.Need another pacy winger a centre forward with pace a pacy midfielder defender with a bit of steel with height right back and left back we should have the money that's needed but somehow i think supporters have been gaslighted yet again on false promises.
