Scott Parker confirmed as West Ham United’s new manager

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 03/11/2026 - 10:09

West Ham United have struck an agreement with free agent manager, Scott Parker, to take over from Nuno Espírito Santo.

The former Burnley, Fulham and Club Brugge manager has achieved promotion from the Championship three times with the Hammers hierarchy clearly aiming to achieve promotion, which they alluded to in their statement made this morning.

The details for Scott Parker's deal are unknown, but a deal is in place for him to become the newest West Ham manager.

It is thought that Mark Noble could possibly be part of Scott Parker’s permanent backroom staff, but more details will be confirmed over the international break which will commence after the Blackburn Rovers game on Saturday.

Mark Noble and Steve Potts will be in place against Cardiff City tomorrow, with Parker also possibly in the dugout

Big improvement on Knumbnuts!

Has WHU DNA, 3 times winner of Hammer of the Year.

Nice to see a decisive board for once!

He will sort out the defence but long term the football will NOT be pretty.

I think it's a brilliant appointment. Noble will have been instrumental in the appointment. Noble was Parkers wing man in midfield for a few seasons. Has club DNA for sure. Not a great record in the Premier League. But we aint in the Premier League, we need to get out of the Championship.

Something Parker knows all about. Plus his defensive record at Burnley in the Championship was exemplary. He will give youth a chance, Engles had better buck his ideas up or young Orford will have his place.

There were no 2 better midfielders as a combo than Parker and Noble. So they should be able to sort this team right out...COYI

Wouldn't be surprised if one Nobby Nolan appears before too long also..

Has a track record for getting teams promoted and for now that is our only concern and so i see the thinking behind it and apparently it was Noble leading the charge for him to be given the job.
If we get promoted will they keep him as manager after that? who knows but right now all i really want to see is us taking the game to others and not sitting back and the players well no more excuses the manager has gone now time to step up and prove yourselves worthy of the shirt.

Parker will get us up. But he seems to be ultra defensive. We will see.

Yes Nuno had to go but employing Parker is nothing more than a step sideways All this crap about him having West Ham DNA is bullsh*t and doesn't mean a thing. He's as much a mercenary as Bilic was and look how that turned out.
I don't expect the football to improve nor really do I expect results to improve either, that being more to do with the squad at his disposal rather than pParkers backward thinking tactics. I'm sure there will be many on here delighted with the appointment. Me, personally, I am appalled. This will end in tears.

I was never a fan of this pirouetting ballet dancer of a player, gobsmacked that he ever got HOTY never mind played in the first team . One of the few who was delighted he f*cked off to Spurs.

With Deluded on this. Not impressed with the choice off Parker but surely he has to be an improvement on our last 3 managers.
Hopefully he can get a tune out off this team.

I just hope they are actively scanning the globe for the next manager. Sure Parker may get us promoted but his last few attempts in the PL have not gone well. This is West Ham so that history will stick like glue to us.
