It should be a good time to play Poo after their midweek endeavours but we have to play a lot better than we have been of late and especially in the first half. I think it will be a close game but we may miss out again.
Good to be back on the forum after searching for the site. Hope others will follow when the migration happens.

No Sakho on the bench. Is he injured? Hope it is not as a result of this Senegal wrangle. Our bench looks weak to me. Oh dear.

Was Reece Oxford on the bench and if so why didn't he blood him FFS. Totally disappointing display. No-one stood out apart from the manager with his crap team selection and usual crap substitutions. May as well stay up for the Battle at The Bridge...Something has to change #AllardyceOut is the tune I'm playing and #COYI

What's happened to our team? Remember the dismal start to preseason, with Allardyce picking up where he left off. Down under West Ham couldn't buy a break. Then the board steps in, signs some good players, forces Allardyce to play attacking football, and with Nolan and Carroll out, we were taking the league by storm. Seems a distant memory that we stood toe to toe with Manchester City AND WON! Now we get Kevin Nolan doing NOTHING every game, except displacing Downing from the only position in which he creates chances. No Kouyate, No Sakho, --- everybody out of place just to make room for Nolan. Makes me sick. And Carroll has only himself to blame for injury, going into a rash challenge like a rank amateur. Oh, give me those early days again, when Allardyce was about to lose his job, Nolan was not to be seen, and Kouyate, Song, Valencia and Sakho put fear into the opposition!!! And dare I mention Zarate, whom Sam ruined by benching and finally letting him go. A player with a bit of guile ... Oh, that's right, we have Nolan. And maybe soon we'll have Fletcher too. I could not be less pleased with our so-called manager.

You nailed it Ashes. We've taken 10 steps forward and 12 back. We were clinical at the start of the season and everyone could see that the old players were not what this team needed. Yet here we are halfway through and Sam goes back to what he knows best. We will be scrapping for a mid table spot with the likes of Nolan playing regularly and in positions he cannot operate in. We missed several key players today which clearly didn't help but Sam needs to realise that that is when you rely on your strongest players in their most effective positions. If we finish outside the top ten then Sam's position could be under threat again but G&S will want to ensure we kick off our first season at the OS in the prem. they'll definitely be change in season 2 there so a couple more seasons at most to suffer the dross served up yesterday but glimpses into our future. A cup win this year is probably Sam's key deliverable now.

I'd be pretty happy with an FA Cup win. But right now, we are not looking like winners. His team selection makes us look like chumps. Ditto his punt for Fletcher. I can suffer the rest of this season with him, but I think we've seen enough. SUGO should look to improve at the key position this summer: manager.

surley? He's lost the board big style, with his constant Nolan / Carroll favouritism......he mis-managed the Zarate situation and now there's talk of Valencia going - clearly both were SUGO signings......BTW anyone heard from Dicksy?

I hear you and it's what I and most other fans want. Unfortunately with the OS light at the end of the tunnel and G&S's penchant for not sacking managers I unfortunately can see Sam still being in charge next season and possibly into 2016/17. When does his contract end? If it's this season it wil be extremely interesting to see what happens.... I've had enough of him. Hopefully we'll give him Nolan as a leaving gift!

Today's performance was utter garbage. You could say that injuries lessened our chances but our overall display was abject. Accommodating Nolan is old hat and doesn't work. Other players are out of position and are not as effective. Our free flowing pace and style has reverted to pedestrian lethargy. We lacked passion in the second half and allowed Liverpool a free ride. Could have been a worse score. Did we have more than three attempts on goal. There has been a gradual slide in performance which takes us to the next three games which I feel we will in all probability lose. We then have mid-table mediocrity which would have been a welcome position at the start of the season. Any ambitions might well have faded now unless we have a good cup run. I feel Allardyce is not progressive or ambitious enough to take us into the Olympic stadium as Allardyce sets up not to lose. I am cheesed off today as we looked clueless. Other lesser teams have put up better performances. It is no good just blaming Nolan as Sam picks him. Other players today were well below par although Song improved a little on his last two games. We still need a few more quality players to take us up a level. Will song stay though playing this style of football. Anyway enough of a rant but I saw this coming of late.

Agree with you about Song. Thought Valencia wasn't too bad either, but not worth £21M!!!! (Still I'd hang on to him.) Also, Adrian mostly was very good.
