I guess if we had bought him last season (which we would have if we'd had the money) we would be having this injury problem with no choice in the matter. So I don't see it any different than having a player in our squad with an injury. But then it's not my money! :-)
As TC said last night... it depends which Song you buy, the one at the start of last season or the one at the end of the season. We get the one from the end of the season we are in trouble as he was a liability in losing the ball in crucial areas.
Apparently he was carrying the injury during the second half of the season and this contributed to his performances, fingers crossed as he was different class in the first half.
With bad refereeing decisions, Adrian missing for three matches and a dodgy enough second keeper to take over, we could do with some good news in that Song passes his medical and we get to sign one more striker. A win on Saturday would take immediate pressure off harder games to come.
Yeah it does seem like all bad news recently! On the other hand, on 3 points after 2 games, I reckon most of us would have taken that before the season started.
Bollocks to a medical.
Needs to man up and stop playing a hat happy cunt.
Paid big bucks, contract should stipulate "don't be a cunt and play for 38 games"
Any problems take your hat and fuck off.

I have a bad feeling that he will pass the medical and then within a couple of games be out long term injured. Too risky imho.

Exactly.
Exactly.
Not only that but 2nd half
Not only that but 2nd half the season he played in a team thats tactics got changed and where the movement dried up.
Hope you are right
He was outstanding in our early games, so I hope it is true that this injury was a factor in his loss of form after Xmas.
Lets hope the injury clears up!
He was superb first half of the season,he made the team tick!
