I can't get my head around why we're trying to sign Rob Green, having seen Randolph play at the weekend I think he's plenty good enough to deputise for Adrian and Green won't come here to be third choice, so with money always an issue with the owners I'd ask why we're prepared to waste £50k a week, that is unless they're thinking of generating money by selling Adrian
He s conceeded 16 in three
He s conceeded 16 in three against bournmouth
None were his fault yesterday
None were his fault yesterday and he made at least 2 very good saves burkie, Adrian wouldn't have done any better IMO
And he came off his line to
And he came off his line to catch a couple of crosses. I thought that he was our best player by far. As for Jenkinson and Cresswell they both had a mare!
Agree regarding Randolph Jeff
Agree regarding Randolph Jeff, I was a little apprehensive about how he'd play after a couple of mistakes in pre season but thought he looked very confident, can't imagine Green coming out for crosses like Randolph did on Saturday, he was always rooted to his line
I know, just sayin.
I know, just sayin.
with all those errors
With all those errors in defense even the best goalkeeper the world would have suffered goals. I think that £ 50k a week for a goalkeeper of 35 years are really too many, but if this were true, and he get Randholph go to QPR? There is a bit of confusion in my opinion
In my opinion
Rob Green is a better keeper than Adrian but he left the club for more money, which I have to admit I didn't think he would. Adrian has done very well but I think he's a bit too erratic and Green is a better all round keeper. Would I pay a keeper £50k per week at 35? Given that we need players in different positions, Rudolph done okay saturday, then no I wouldn't.
I think Adrian is better all
I think Adrian is better all round then green to be honest and I was a massive fan of green. Adrian can be erratic at times though. Probably down to the fact hes only been a senior keeper for 3 in half years now though. So hes still like a diamond in the rough.
35
Isn't old for a keeper. Ray Clemence retired at 40, Parkes left West Ham at 40, Shilts was playing for England at 41.....need I go on?
It's not but
£50k per week? When our priorities lay elsewhere, like decent wide players and attackers who can finish.
Agreed, a keeper is the least
Agreed, a keeper is the least of our worries
I watched a re run of Italia
I watched a re run of Italia '90 the other day, if ever there's evidence Shilton should've retired earlier then it was for all to see in that competition, dived like he was arthritic
Remember the last few minutes at the semi
We were shouting at Robson to bring on Beasant for the penalties, but he would never have disrespected Shilton by subbing him.
Why indeed
He has great relegation form
