If no decent long term permanent option is available now why don't we sign Berbatov on a free for 1-2 years and look again in January? Apparently he is at Villa now in talks.
We already have Lanzini, Jenkinson and Song on loan deals and I believe the maximum permitted for a Premier League club is four. If we get Moses on a loan (potentially a good move) then it looks as though Adebayor has to be a permanent contract (not good IMO). So what is the shortest deal Adebayor will sign up to?
You can only have 2 domestic loan players which is Jenkinson and Moses but you can have any number of overseas loans. So Adebayor will have to sign a contract as a permanent player and apparently he is trying to get Spuds to buy out the final year of his contract. I think he is a good one season back up player, along with Jelavic.
I think the guy is still a nuisance value, I think he will tie up a couple of defenders and allow others to score. He has class and in a moment can change a game...if hes bothered and thats the problem :o(
Being reported that Tottenham and Adebayor are working on a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. Levy wants his 100k a week off their wage bill. That would make him a free agent and able to sign when and for whomever he wanted.
