Hammers have been given an 'uncomfortable tie for this year's third round FA Cup tie, an away fixtute against Thomas Frank's Brentford at the GTech Stadium, probably one of the few venues that West Ham supporters really dread, despite it's relative close proximity!
The full draw is as follows:

Preston v Huddersfield
Middlesbrough v Brighton
Chesterfield v West Brom
Manchester City v Chelsea
Charlton or Stockport County v Walsall
Boreham Wood v Accrington
Tottenham v Portsmouth
Derby v Barnsley
Cardiff v Leeds
Brentford v West Ham Utd
Bournemouth v Burnley
Coventry v Wrexham
Norwich v Blackburn
Aston Villa v Stevenage
Luton v Wigan
Oxford v Arsenal
Fleetwood v QPR
Liverpool v Wolves
Grimsby v Burton
Blackpool v Nottingham Forest
Dagenham & Redbridge or Gillingham v Leicester
Forest Green v Birmingham
Bristol City v Swansea
Hartlepool v Stoke
Hull v Fulham
Crystal Palace v Southampton
Millwall v Sheffield Utd
Shrewsbury v Sunderland
Sheffield Wednesday v Newcastle
Manchester United v Everton
Reading v Watford
Ipswich v Rotherham

the way the teams performing at the moment i don't see us progressing in this competition any further ,hope I'm wrong, but i feel we will be fighting a relegation battle which of course will take priority. C.O.Y.I

Hoping the break for the farce cup will reset the squad for round 2 and we'll start our upward trend. No point being negative with the draw just yet. Of course the Spuds get their customary lower league opposition to start with

Which has made it awkward since their promotion. Think survival is their main priority too, so is anyone's game. Hopefully Moyes will have learnt something during this World Cup on how to utilise players but I'm not going to hold my breath.
