Any Hammers fan who was at the Boleyn the evening Slaven Billic was presented to the crowd before the FC Lusitans Euro Championship game, will tell you the atmosphere was electric and that the fans 'took' to their new manager in a way they could never have with Sam Allardyce. Billic looks right and sounds right, and away from home his teams perform a bit more than right! Any incoming manager needs the crowd behind him, and Billic has that, he also needed the co-owners to back him in the transfer market, and to all intents and purposes they have done that and more some. So now the dust has settled on the memorable 3-0 trouncing of Liverpool at Anfield and a breathtaking transfer window, Slaven Billic has to now do something unusual for a West Ham manager, and that is to keep a group of very good players happy, when many of them will not be getting the game time they would like. The club have signed an entire team, and it is to be hoped that new players and old will be able to embrace their manager's approach to the game, and most crucially his squad rotation. This ability, having been honed as an international manager, will come more to the fore when the winter campaign kicks in and players start to fatigue and pick up injuries. One thing for sure is that Billic would rather play with ten men and possibly lose, rather than risk keeping an obviously injured striker on the pitch at the end of a game where he had used all his substitutes!
It will take time for players, owners and fans to get used to the 'Billic revolution', but it will be worth the wait - Ed

That sounds like a positive
That sounds like a positive post Nev. You are aware there are several on here who will not take kindly to the "feel good" words you have put down in print and will hark back to the, 'Be careful what you wish for' & 'I'd rather draw 0-0 and be bored shitless than lose 4-3' days of yore. Therefore in the interests of ensuring these people don't reach for the razor, please have the decency to either delete the post or add in a little negativity to keep them "happy"
The Liverpool result, however
The Liverpool result, however wonderful, was only 3 points. Hopefully the 2 weeks off have allowed everyone a chance to work on putting our home form right (or at least a bit better!) I expect an improvement against the Geordie boys, and I'm sure the home crowd do, but it certainly seems to be the norm for most teams this season that away games are easier to play.
The 'be careful what you wish for mob' must be bewildered, moore2come: no predicting what is going to happen this season so far, and no sign of respect the point... thank God eh!! Can you imagine Bilic describing attacking as "gallivanting forward?" :-))
Only 3 points bully, hammer
Only 3 points bully, hammer fans are naming babies Slaven out there :)
Just trying to keep our feet
Just trying to keep our feet on the ground, Mooro. After all..... this *IS* West Ham!! :-)
Like you Nev I'm with the
Like you Nev I'm with the masses who embrace the Bilic revolution. I've supported this club through thick and thin for 47 years and the mood around the place has not been as expectant for as long as I can remember....
I'm loving it...
I've predicted 4 wins so far, a 50% win ratio...That said, the banana skins we slipped up on will be sure fire 3 away points each back, come the time. If we can keep the singing going and set the Boleyn alight with noise all throughout the game with the Geordies, I think we could smash them 5 or 6 nil. We just have to get the new lads accustomed to the atmosphere and they'll turn it on home and away. I'll be up early on Tuesday morning to watch the game before work. Pray tell I'll be right with the scoreline or something similar #COYI
