West Ham United will take part in the Carabao Cup Round 3 draw tonight after defeating Southampton 4-1 in their biggest Carabao Cup away victory since 1967.
Taking part in Round 3 means the Hammers are amongst the remaining 32 teams in the tournament, with the European Teams from the Premier League now also being entered.
The draw for Round 3 will take place after the Preston vs Everton match is concluded. However, a pre-draw for the European sides entering the competition has already been completed, which determines where their tie will be played.
As well as where the games will take place, it also does, in fact, mean that these sides are NOT able to go against one another for this round.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Liverpool will all have home ties. Should West Ham be tied against one of these named sides, the fixture will be away from home.
The two sides who have been drawn to play away are Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Apart from the eight named sides, everything else and all other teams will be as normal in the draw, which is set to take place at around 22:10 (10:10pm)
West Ham United will be ball number 25.

Conclusion
West Ham United will take on Fulham/Wimbeldon in the next round
I don't understand
Apart from keeping the top teams in the competition, why they were kept apart
Because they are in Europe and its on alternate weeks
So they could not risk the "big boys" being drawn against each other as the fixtures would clash
Thats the bull being spouted i'd rather point out what does it matter as they play their bloody reserves anyway but yet again to please a few the rest have to suffer
I think thats a great draw
I think thats a great draw for us...
