West Ham United and those associated with the club have always supported The Armed forces and been generous with their donations to those who returned injured both mentally and physically from their tours of duty. Often the hardest step of all for those in need is the first one, recognising how bad things have become is extremely difficult especially, for a once fully fit and independent person. Sometimes leaving a regimented regime can be fraught with unforeseen difficulties and when a person hits rock bottom there have been precious few facilities to help. Fortunately there are a few organisations who go out of their way to help those who need it most, but as many are 'rough sleepers' it is hard to deliver effective help, however Cassiobury Court are helping to change things for the better, they offer free help and advice for veterans who suffer with addiction and mental health problems.
