*West Ham's Chiekhou Kouyate wrongful dismissal upheld www.thefa.com By FA Staff 05 Apr 2016 An Independent Regulatory Commission has today [Tuesday 5 April 2016] upheld a wrongful dismissal claim in relation to West Ham United’s Cheikhou Kouyate. The player, who was dismissed for serious foul play during the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday [2 April 2016], will therefore not serve any suspension.*
Hammers fans could be forgiven for thinking they are experiencing Deja Vu recently, and the welcome news that Cheik Kouyate's red card has been rescinded will only add to that feeling. West Ham United have now had more red cards rescinded than any other team in the football league this season, let alone the Barclays Premier League, which beggars the question why? Is it the fall out from the Olympic Stadium acquisition, Tevez Gate or some other dark deed that people don't even know about? What ever the reason, these red cards have cost Hammer's dear, as has been widely reported in the media the club could have been in a very strong position for Champions League qualification, instead it might be involved in a battle to qualify for the Europa Cup!
Some will see recent events as comeuppance for a public funded stadium and for having sent Sheffield United in to oblivion, others will say the club has most definitely not had the rub of the green and deserves better, but unfortunately points cannot be returned retrospectively, no matter how atrocious the referee or his assistant's decision's were. So it might be a case of could have, should have, would have, but Slaven Bilic is a wily old fox and is guaranteed to use the us against them mentality to galvanise his squad for the next three matches and beyond that will shape Hammer's season, Arsenal, a Manchester United FA Cup replay and a visit to league leaders Leicester City all within the space of 8 days will stretch the squad to the limit, but encouragingly Slaven has an almost totally fit squad at his disposal.
It would be nice for West Ham fans and the neutral alike, to be able to appreciate the breath taking quality of a complete Billic side in full flight! - Ed

Just on Sheffield United
Didn't we pay them at least £25M in damages? What did they do with that? It wasn't us sent them into oblivion, it was their chairman and w*nker of a manager -- which we were trying to tell people all along. I think there's probably a few Sheffield United fans now who realise what a curse that lawsuit was for them. With that kind of extra money in those days they should have been back in the top flight in one or two seasons, max.
As for the stat that we have the most red cards rescinded in the entire football league -- Nev, that is just flabbergasting! When you put that together with: bottom of the "benefitted from bad decisions" table week after week, bad decisions in crucial matches involving "top four" teams, the thuggery that took Payet away from us for 7 matches, the history of no penalties away in 4 years -- well, all I can say is that it's a wonder they let us beat Liverpool. But maybe that wasn't supposed to happen either; Ogbonna did put one over on them at the death.
finally I hve no doubt that Super Slav will get the team ready for Arsenal. But yes, this is now the moment to prove our worth. Win the next three (and we CAN do it), and we are right back in the mix and arguably the best against the proverbial "top four". I would love to see that. A moment of deserved glory would be worth it.
Against all the wrong
Against all the wrong decisions, let's hope we can still come out on top this season,we deserve something to show out of it at the end COYI
