The Fable Six To Go

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 12/04/2026 - 12:55

West Ham United’s 4-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers has boosted the East End’s side to a rocking thirty-two points, placing us out of the relegation zone and into a position of slight comfort, but this is, of course, upon the pending results elsewhere for Nottingham Forest, Leeds and primarily Spurs.

In the event that results don’t go West Ham’s way, it’ll certainly be a blow beneath the belt, but fortunately, one aspect that cannot be taken away from Nuno’s side is the confidence achieved and the significance of the four-nil win. This is also West Ham’s first time scoring four or more for the first time in over a year and a half… bizarre!

What now remains for the Hammers is the final six to go, six Premier League fixtures determine the fate of West Ham. The six fixtures in question are Crystal Palace (A), Everton (H), Brentford (A), Arsenal (H), Newcastle (A) and Leeds (H).

Nuno continues to reiterate in his press conferences that he will watch all the matches, but the primary goal is “we need to focus on ourselves”

Looking at the fixtures for ourselves as well as everyone else, it appears to be that no clear picture will become evident until all is confirmed, yet fans of relegation candidates are being drip-fed information as the weeks go by. Today, fans will find out about how De Zerbi has managed with this Spuds side, and Nottingham Forest become flip-flops weekly in the way they play, and Leeds seem to have the upper hand on most, given their points and remaining season fixtures.

Come the end of Monday night, a clearer picture will be painted, yet the future image remains nothing but blurred pixels - all is still to play for.

Beating Wolves, Spurs getting done, The Arse on their way to another bottle job leaving Declan looking less likely to win anything after leaving for a winning club, and Chelsea getting tonked so that City get ever closer. Yeah, Villa and Newcastle didn't help much but lets not be greedy.
And Nuno is right. Focus on ourselves. We are in the driving seat and it's down to us to stay there. A month ago I was dreading a certain date but I am now looking forward to 10th May :D

Palace winning just cements there place in the league and so they can concentrate on Europe and maybe winning the Conference league leaving us with hopefully a tired set of legs and players whose minds are on other things than the Prem.

Just need to focus and realise each game is a cup final.

Its in our hands now, not easy fixtures but in ALL we have a chance if we show the right approach.

Next weekend will be tough. Leeds, Forest and Spudz all at home while we wait until Monday night for a difficult trip to Selhurst Park.

Spudz are totally out of form and a home game should be an advantage but the place is toxic!

Fingers crossed!

With your ignorance of all things football VAR. Go onto any Spurs forum and you will find Franks is way way down the blame list, if at all. Levy tops the list on all with the current regime coming a close second and thirdly the attitude of some of their " star" players.. These aren't my opinions, but those on Spurs forums and fans I personally know.
For me, personally, I just chuckle when I look at the history of managerial appointments they've sacked, Redknapp, Mourinho, Poch, Conte, Big Ange, Nuno, Vilas Boas etc. That said, the sacking of Frank to replace him with Tudor has to be the most hilarious. You crack on trying to point score me on Frank, it doesn't bother me in the slightest

Have to disagree about Dec. I've no axe to grind. Never have had. I hope the Arse do win the title, he deserves it. Sometimes the mentality baffles me..!
