Greedy Agent Blows King Deal

Just when Hammers fans were anticipating a massive transfer coup, with not one but two sought after players arriving within 24 Hours of each other, the second of the deals has hit the skids. It is well known that David Moyes has been a long term admirer of striker Joshua King, unfortunately King's chances of arriving at The London Stadium are between zero to none as a result of a quite frankly ludicrous set of demands by both the player and his agent, added to those issues was Bournemouth's reluctance to accept anything less than £18 Million for their star player who is entering the final year of his contract and as such can leave on a free next summer.

Of course the essential component of the details will probably not surface until later, with all parties blaming each other, and while King would have added to Hammers firepower he might have upset the apple cart. It's a pity in a way, because the Irons could have had a formidable front line, but then again how do you fit so many attacking players into one team?

Perhaps Moyes is trying to do a 'Pep' or a 'Pellegrini', hopefully with more success than the latter, either way, bearing in mind the unique circumstances that club's fund themselves in, it has not been to bad a window, has it? - Ed

And its about time our lot grew some balls and not pay silly wages or fees to agents not that they need any encouragement on that front nowadays!.....missing out on Callum Wilson though was annoying as for me out of the two he is the better player.

Hopefully this is now done a way superior player to king although different type of player the technical ability of benrahma will have the effect of what Anderson could do when his mojo is back and not the sad dismal performances he was doing before loaned out tomorrow. King way overpriced at 28 and 18mill with wanting stupid wages and a free agent in 9mths time so that's a stupid decision other than forget him and let him stay at Bournemouth. Dawson another waste of cash even on loan for someone who loves relegation hopefully will never put on our shirt as it will be embarrassing. Not that we are not used to being embarrassed over the seasons. GSB OUT. to be fair can't see Moyes didn't want benrahma and it's only Sullivan's choice and I'm sure both players would at the right price for king would have been ok but anything over 10 mill is wasting money as we have haller when Antonio is not available and Bowen could play there too.

I would say not a bad transfer window. It was turning to be an awful one, but with the Benrahma signing, I think that the King one would have added a lot of firepower to the squad. Antonio would look a lot less isolated at times, though with Bowen and Benrahma that will decrease with time.

I am optimistic about this oncoming fixture vs Spuds, although they have that Bale of cotton who would probably be warming the bench before The special One decides to introduce him. So will Benrahma be in the starting lineup? Those trashings of both Wolves and Leicester will obviously send some shivers down The Special Ones spine!

Maybe the cogs are slowly turning, but turn it will. This is probably the shakeup these deluded fools needed, which has been brought about by covid. First, you have Tomori happy and comfortable sitting on his arse at Chelski, whilst not being able to fully understand that his interests are best served by playing competitive football (he'd have probably got that here). This tells you Everything about the player that you need to know... He'll Never be a top player as long as he has a hole...you know the rest.
Then King is crying a river about how he wants to get away from the Cherries for the sake of his sanity... Sounded urgent?... But Not urgent enough apparently... and what about Bournemouth? are they expecting a club to pay top dollar in the winter transfer window with months left on his contract? Every single one of them deserves each other and I'm glad they're not here at West Ham.
Whatever this club may or may not need, a player of Benrahma's ability is always welcome at this club and he may just surprise some of us too.

The spanking of manua by them will have a positive effect on our team ,the first goal is so important ,we get it they could be rattled, they get it (especially early on ) and our lot will start to believe this one man team can really walk on water ,sink the cocky gits

I rate Haller over King anyway and he isn't getting game time. I go to many Brentford games and to be honest think the sale of Diangana and then buying Benrahma as an utterly ridiculous piece of business. Neither have real Premier league experience but we have just pissed about £15 mill up the wall to find out. Dawson also will be nothing more than a bench warmer and with Rice and Coufal also capable of being cover at CB will just be a waste of wages. Coupled to all of that, none of the players in that squad are capable of giving Moyes an option of a plan B , not that I think Moyes has any clue of a plan B anyway. Enjoy the Indian Summer we've just had, reality will soon set in.
