The Pitiful Downfall Of West Ham’s Home

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Mon, 29/12/2025 - 10:17

West Ham’s season has gone far from what they initially anticipated, in which it seems that everything that could’ve gone wrong so far has gone wrong. From the players to the owners to the facilities, it all feels as if it’s crumbling down before our very eyes and a miraculous U-turn seems near impossible.

Yet despite it all, one of the most debilitating and devastating factors for the Hammers is the so-called ‘home’ which is allegedly a ‘World-class stadium’ according to a very select few and against Fulham, the entire Matchday experience ultimately summarised the club’s pitiful downfall that’s been experienced.

For what reason, given the current circustances, should someone have to embark on the dreaded walk from Stratford station to the London Stadium and be met with a monumental queue which is for bag checks and security, if it could be called that, considering how passively they wave their magic wands and often end up picking up a magnetic button which is part of your coat!

The attempt to create an upbeat atmosphere with nothing but music as if they’re trying to manage and soothe our angered moods. Post Fulham, you walked out of your seat and out of the stadium to be met with ludicrously loud music by The Killers to the point where Sky’s live broadcast could hear it, simply unbelievable.

More and more it’s becoming to feel like a festival rather than a Matchday - Didn’t think we were at Glastonbury? But the prices are similar for it too nowadays!

No set of fans wants to hear music blasted in their ear after loosing is such a depleting fashion.

It’s totally and utterly comical. West Ham is a circus that embodies clowns and those pantomimes have managed to somehow worsen the Matchday experience from what it already had, which was little to nothing in the first place.

The London Stadium becomes further unbearable each week, and with no clear fix in sight, it’s a long old road the Hammers have been forced to embark upon.

I know it sounds crazy but Nuno is on the brink of the tin tac!!

Bowens held a behind closed doors team meeting. Apparently the natives are restless about playing defensive based football. No central striker, a total sense of apathy is over the squad.

As for Nuno, Bilic is seen as coming in after Brighton tomorrow night. If we lose, Nuno is gone.. It's as simple as that.

Nuno shows zero passion on the touchline. The only gesture he does is to turn his back on the field of play, fold his arms and shake his head.

Club is rotten from top to bottom.

A fan of Nuno, but even I wouldn't execute him just yet until he's had some time with the January window. I remember the majority of you lot wanting Potter to have his time in the Summer window when he came in halfway through the season after Lopetegui and he had an even worse run of results, similarly playing peculiar football line ups.
As for all this dream talk about a return of Slaven Bilic, get real. Have you all forgotten how shit he was. His only saving grace was Payet and when he left he was totally found out.

Well I guess we'll have to wait until after tomorrow night. I'm telling you. If we lose, Bilic will come in until the end of the season.

But really is there someone out there that can light the blue touch paper with this team??? Do we stick with Nuno and see what happens??? Or bail out now and take a chance on another??? Surely even Sullivan can see what disaster it will be for years out of the Prem...Hindsight is a wonderful thing, seeing into the future is frightening.

I think the stadium is the No1 concern ,we were a laughing stock from day one ,who rents a stadium ? And I'll ask one more time, where did the money from selling Uppers go?

Whether true or not,i read Harrys thrown his hat into the ring, probably sitting at home getting as frustrated as we are.....Would it really be wise to give Nuno the push at this stage,if theres no progress in the January window then yes,but even then really, ive never felt so up in the air and pissed of with this club.

I think there is only one person who coukd possibly light the fuse. He has not got a great track record as a manager. But he bleeds claret & blue. He would die for the club. Any player who does not put a shift in would be slaughtered. Enter Paulo DiCanio
