Promise's To Live Up To For The David's

With the transfer window rapidly approaching, a transfer plan will eventually become clearer to all Hammers fans, but what is known is that a striker is top of the list, with the newest name, Promise David, emerging as a serious contender to replace Fullkrug.

Promise David is a Canadian international who is not related to Jonathan David, whose saga played out for the entirety of last summer.

David has been shining in the Belgian Pro League over the last two seasons since his move to Union SG, achieving 22G/A in his first campaign, and so far, 9 G/A in 18 games, 2 of those coming in the Champions League.

He’s a Nuno-type forward coming in at 6’5, he’s got good holdup of the ball and has what many claim to be the ‘ideal’ striker mindset.

The toughest challenge to the deal is questioning whether David wants David! Union SG purchased the 24-year-old for just £600,000 two years ago and now they will be searching for a fee in the region of £15,000,000. This suspected fee would be subsidised, given that the Fullkrug money is invested back in, which he from above has claimed will happen.

Can’t make any ‘Promise’s but Sully Sullivan gets cheered up for an international and has been longing for a Canuck! He was chomping at the bit last Summer for Jonathan David, and now with another round the corner, the bullet could likely be bitten.

The Hammers are set to keep an eye on David’s performances in the near future, and they will then make a conclusive decision on whether to pursue him or not.

An eye for an eye, or a David for a David?
