Reality Hits For Presumptuous Potter

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 13/04/2025 - 16:07

After the results today it means Potter’s side now sit 17th with our loss and Wolves beating Spurs.

The continuous theme of us being in the fight but not getting the result is consistent, we went to Anfield, gave a good fight but ultimately ended up short. Chances after chances but none put away, Kudus hitting the bar, Bowen not capitalising on a 1 on 1 chance and Füllkrug hitting the bar late on. It all just seemed like today wasn’t our day, but since Potters taken over, it seems like that every game!

Atrocious in the first half, but the better team in the second and you just have to wonder when is this continued theme going to stop?

Some “footballing experts” will claim it’s the lineups, others will say we’re taking too long to find our groove in games, but the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter if you’ve played well, you HAVE to pick up points. We’re fortunate ex-West Ham player Ben Johnson’s masterclass resulted in nothing for Ipswich, as a win would’ve put them just 12 points behind us.

A late kerfuffle between Van Dijk and Robertson saw the ball in the back of the net to make it 1-1, but it all must've been just to toy with our feelings as it was nullified two painfully slow minutes later with a goal from a pathetic corner we gave away

An extremely harsh result and even Jamie Carragher of all people admitted that West Ham deserved to win today, but instead, the fans hike home with nothing apart from their heads in their hands.

Southampton up next, three home games to go, six games remaining all in all.

LOL... we were piss poor in the first half!

That coward Potter set up with 5 at the back again and it didn't work. Yes, we didn't get a battering but just looks like Brighton to me, no creativity, adventure, bravery...

Thought of watching this for another season, God help us!!

For those that thought Potter was a good choice in the first place. I'm reckon even Loppy would have got more than the three wins Potter has.

I asked the question........Is it too early for Potter out?

I think the question now is... Had Potter been brought in as a temporary to see us through to the end of the season would he get the reward of a full contract?

I think I know the answer.

There is no evidence that he will improve the club. Even with Paqueta, Bowen, AWB, Kudus etc in the side with players that would walk into top half Prem teams, he cant get a tune out of them.

Shots per game, time in the final third etc no evidence of improvement. True, we dont get whacked only because he puts more players behind the ball but... this statement he keeps regurgitating that we are STILL IN THE GAME is utter B*****x!

That sawn off runt Sullivan needs to admit he has yet again got it wrong and needs to act! Its not going to get any better!

That sawn off runt needs to get out of the club. He's taken us as far as he possibly can with his amateur ownership and his dreams of getting a huge bid for the club dwindle every time he does something!!

Give credit to him and Gold, they bailed us out when others ran for the hills. However, he doesn't fit the profile of a modern Football club owner, his strategies and work practices are both old and typical of a low league director.

I have said for years ... He will only sell when he has ownership of the BoM. At that point the return on investment multiplies, club value jumps to over a Billion!

Im a big fan of Wealth Tax, the establishment will tell you it doesn't work... B*****x!

Rishi Sunak is worth £700M (not his wife... just him), assuming his "passive income" on assets at just 5% yields around £90K...............a day!!!! Sullivan has assets around £1B...
