Summerville’s World Cup Performances Trigger Champions’ Interest

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 21/06/2026 - 16:03

Upon being relegated, the Hammers knew that they would come under fire during the transfer window and have to put up with interest from everywhere for over half of the squad.

Whilst Mateus Fernandes is viewed as one of the significant sales that the Hammers will have to undergo, it appears that Crysencio Summerville’s shining World Cup so far has only added to the interest that he already held, with the likes of FOUR Champions League clubs now eyeing a move for the Dutchman.

So far in this World Cup campaign, Summerville has scored two and assisted one in just two matches. His performances have also helped the Netherlands confirm a place in the Round of 32 before the third and final game has even taken place.

Staring on the big stage seems to only be adding to the value that the Hammers already held. There was a consensus initially that the Hammers would seek around a £30mil transfer fee, but now we’re aiming for double what we paid initially, which was £25mil.

The four clubs that hold the highest interest in Crysencio Summerville are reigning Champions League winners PSG, reigning Premier League winners Arsenal, followed by Manchester United and Roma.

All four clubs are eying a bid for the Dutchman, but whether they are up to standard is another discussion to be held.

Reports are circulating that PSG are set to offer a €43m bid for Summerville are farfetch, but it would be fair to conclude that Summerville is more likely to be at another club next season than he is to remain at West Ham.

LOL that will not cut the mustard and PSG will no that Manure want him and Fernandes well they better be quick as the price is increasing for both.
All good news in a way for us as selling just two players will go a long way to dealing with the debt but DK has insisted we must get back at the first time of trying so a squad has to be built and by people who know how to do that not managers who have "friendly terms" with certain agents.
