There's A Reason Liverpool Fans Are Involved In Tragic Events

First of all losing to Liverpool yesterday hurt, make no mistake about it, the ridiculous non use of VAR at the end of the game was pretty scandalous and has already been covered by many media outlets. It worked 'perfectly' for the visitors in order for Jarrod Bowen's goal to be written off, correctly as it happens, but was NOT USED at all despite one of the most blatant hand balls you will ever see from Liverpool, albeit despite being an 'accident'.

Mikey Antonio had a similar accident the previous week which was far less blatant but had a penalty awarded against him, such are the vagueries of VAR. However, a far more serious series of events had already occurred, before, during and after the game courtesy of the visiting support.

Viewers from Merseyside will say that negative comments about their 'wonderful' away supporters are just sour grapes, which to some degree is true, however they cannot deny that a huge number of them had attained tickets in the home fans area and ALL OVER the ground. In fact they are proud of how they manage to get 'unobtainable' tickets where ever they play, home or abroad!

Firstly there needs to be a serious investigation as to how SO MANY were able to gain entry, their presence is NOT heresay, at the Org we witnessed first hand just how many Liverpool supporters there were ALL OVER THE GROUND! This is totally unacceptable, the potential for disorder was rife and on another evening things could have gone from drastic to tragic very quickly and that is the point of this article.

The club should NEVER have allowed so many opposition supporters into the ground, that needs to be sorted out quickly, but more importantly 'innocent' Liverpool fans with the correct tickets were swamped by those who had acquired tickets nefariously and behaved accordingly.

It is NO CO-INCIDENCE that tragic events in Europe and Domestically have featured Liverpool fans, time and again their 'enthusiasm' for getting tickets has caused chaos and disorder resulting in death and injury. If it was a one off situation then that is fate, however 'Pool' supporters of a certain type have been involved in multiple incidents, many of them going unreported and something needs to be done before another 'tragedy' occurs.

West Ham AND other clubs are NOT blameless either, 'Ticket Exchange' that Hammers uses is a great idea, in principle, it is to allow fans who cannot attend games the facility to pass their tickets on to 'fellow' fans in order that they can attend, a hefty mark up is added with the additional funds going towards new players etc, again a good idea but then it begins to fall apart.

There are too many ways a 'determined' away supporter can milk the system, all they need is a greedy middleman to facilitate their purchase and they are away, it happens on most match days, but Liverpool supporters have an entire unofficial infrastructure in place to get hold of tickets, it has been going for years and has been responsible or partly responsible for crowd disorder across Europe on numerous occasions.

Perhaps we imagined all the Scouse accents right next to us in the Bobby Moore upper? And that we 'imagined' none of them celebrating Lucas Paqueta's wonder goal but somehow saw them jumping out of their seats when Liverpool scored?

The FA and Premier League need to make a serious review of this type of situation, after all, there is a reason it is Liverpool fans who have been involved in the bulk of modern day European football tragedies, isn't there or is it pure co-incidence? - Ed

NB: We apologise if this article upsets those who suffered injury or loss through no fault of their own in the incidents we have discussed, but feel it is VITAL lessons are learned in order to avoid similar tragedies

I'm just surprised they didn't get a bit of a slap, not sure they would have got away with it back in the day! Looks like the same problem that's happened since this ridiculous move, opposition fans getting tickets in the Westham ends....sad bloody state of affairs our club has been reduced to

have to agree 65, back in the day... But, we are as the away supporters say "not West Ham anymore". I have however seen away fans (Man U) in the Trevor Brooking end and they did get a slap!

Whenever i hear that bloody Hillsboro tragedy on the news and the police failed the stewards the grounds the fencing all to blame for the "tragedy" nobody and i mean nobody ever ever mentions it was the fans without tickets bullying there way in that caused the events to arise...funny that....proper fans with tickets were IMO murdered by scousers who have never given a shit and feel its there right to to bundle bully intimidate to get in without tickets and whenever i see on the tv the family members who are calling for justice for the police to be called out for there failings they never mention there so called fellow fans who caused it all.....

On top of the terrible loss of life their behaviour robbed us and a good side of more European nights, not to mention the £££££'s for the club. No doubt we were never compensated.

It's their mentality that gets my goat. They think they are the only section of the country to be funny. Where in fact they are very basic uncouth people. I fucking hate scousers and everything associated with them. They can poke The Beatles up their baggy scouse arses..

Like so many more non bindippers i to feel it was their fault ,they are a different breed ,from Liverpool ,clinging to victim hood for all their worth ,if you get on the wrong side of them it can lead to disastrous outcomes .its alright to say it on sites like this but say it when your in a pub with several of them and your dicing with trouble ,theres a few of them drink in the pub where i go ,and their not even scousers ,their paddys like me but after i made my views known they ostracised me .
Truth is they should never have been allowed anywhere near the ground without tickets ,once it got out of control the police and stewards had no chance ,the only good thing to come out of it was the scumsun was virtually banned from Liverpool .
