West Ham’s Frustration Grows As Italians' Antics Continue

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 19/07/2026 - 11:25

The Hammers have been looking to retain the majority of players, but we’re accepting that certain departures were inevitable, one of which being Crysencio Summerville.

Amongst all the interest, West Ham set a price tag of £50m on him and Kretinsky has stuck to his named price, without a budget in sight.

Whilst Manchester United were interested in the Dutchman, they would have to sell Marcus Rashford before pursuing a deal, leading to complications, leaving just Aston Villa and Roma to compete for Jimmy.

Aston Villa have received an enormous pay cheque after selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for an astronomical £117m, meaning they’re now weighing up their options before inevitably smashing any club out of the water.

Roma are continuously putting bids towards West Ham, but they’re short of our asking price and the club are beginning to be frustrated. Summerville is open to the move to Roma and personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue, but at this moment in time, the Italian side, with their minimal money, are only conjuring up €45m (£39m) which is still around £10m off the asking price.

Roma are attempting to pinpoint and pressure West Ham into accepting a lower price by insinuating that if the club maintain their price, they’ll switch over to target Garnacho of Chelsea, however, the Hammers don’t appear moved by their Italian tactics.

Italian sides are known to often pay higher fees in a ludicrous amount of instalments which isn’t going to incentivise West Ham, it’s a problem all clubs face when selling a player of a higher fee to Italy, it’s always the same!

Summerville is very likely to leave West Ham this Summer, but another thing that is for certain is West Ham won’t accept less than £50m, and if they do, it’s got a very incentivising payment schedule.

Still have not realised that it is not Sullivan and co they are dealing with anymore because if it had been the deal would of been done £8million ago!
But with DK's stance that the player/s can go if they wish but only for the price we say not Agent not Player not the club/s who want them.
Chelski splashing out that shocking amount of money for a player really no matter how good shows how crazy the market is....So if Villa choose to gazump Roma it is tough tits to them but hopefully Villa do not come in for another 9 days because that is when his release clause is done and we can really crank up the price!

If no clubs matches the correct offer/valuation he stays. I don't think Jimmy will rock the boat somehow.

Roma are haggling with Jimmy over his wages and WHU have had to put their arm up their back to prise 38mill out of them Then Villa come along with 50 mill chances are that Somerville will get his previous wage demand and even his agent will be happy, Don't forget that we have to give 15% to Leeds for the player so unfortunately for Summerville I cant see DK letting Roma have him and knowing how Greedy Football Agents are there no chance that he will go to Italy lets face it that's 12mill difference and they just don't spend that sort of money, that's Leeds commission and a slice towards a replacement so DM is not worried always next season if he wants, probably be worth 65mill next season
and if he goes to Villa I hope WHU get a good sell on clause because Sommerville is still young and if Rodgers is worth 117 million what will Jimmy be worth in 2years time?? Good bit of business from us just goes to show you the difference a new owner makes what worries me is the Dwarf still has not sold his 38% and I think he will hang on selling them till the end of next season when he might get premier league prices as long as he keeps away from the club and the running of it, so he can concentrate on perving then that will be the most important thing.

Looks simple to me,just play one against the other ,let Roma know that he's on the brink of signing for Villa and by sa versa ,or am I being too simplistic?.
