West Ham Suffer Alarming International Injury

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Mon, 30/03/2026 - 09:55

Despite the Hammers fighting relegation for the duration of the entire Premier League season, half of Nuno’s side are called up to their respective international sides, which increases the chances of accumulating injuries, of which the international curse has struck once again.

Yesterday evening, Konstantinos Mavropanos suffered a head injury whilst playing for Greece against Paraguay.

The Greek medical staff have already made it known that he will not be playing against Hungary as they want to prioritise his fitness, but the extent of the head injury is unknown. It is thought not to be serious, but the needed scans will be done, and the damage will be revealed soon.

Mavro has taken a few knocks to the head in recent weeks, and despite those looking bad initially, he's turned out to be just fine. Hopefully, the Trojan Horse rises once again.

Fortunately, Nuno and Paco do have both Todibo and Disasi at their disposal for Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, both of which we take on within the next 11 days.

A few other Hammers still have to take part in yet another match, meaning it’ll be crossed fingers until the final whistle is blown in all.

Stavros always looks like he's got 2 black eyes anyway. I thought it was lack of sleep. Ha Ha. Nobody will notice if he's took one to the sweed!!
