IRON MEN
ON DIGITAL HD FROM MARCH 3
AND ON DVD FROM MARCH 6, 2017
As the 2015/16 football season drew to a close West Ham United bade farewell to its sacred Boleyn Ground after 112 years of occupation and moved, lock, stock and barrel, to the London Stadium up the road; a momentous relocation that has been recorded with the gravitas and passion it deserves in documentary film IRON MEN, out on Digital HD on March 3rd and on DVD from March 6th, 2017, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
IRON MEN tells the story of this tumultuous and historical transfer through the voices of club captain and local boy Mark Noble, the manager Slaven Bilic, Hollywood actor Ray Winstone, the owners David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady, the local traders and most importantly, through the fans on the terraces; the people who have stuck by the club through thick and thin and cemented a community together for more than a century.
The move has been momentous; with the vast growth of the Premier League the owners decided to move with the times. IRON MEN records this dramatic and sometimes poignant transition into the new era of British football as they face their final three fixtures at Upton Park, including the euphoric 3-2 victory over Manchester United in the final home game of the season.
No-one is quite sure what the future holds for the club once they have established themselves at the gleaming spectacle of the London Stadium, but one thing’s for sure: no matter where they play, the Iron Men will be forever blowing bubbles...

I am fed up with always looking backwards, yes we have a great history but please time to let go. We are obsessed with the past and comparisons. How wonderful life was at UP, the atmosphere etc etc. Well I have plenty of memories when the atmosphere and quality of footie was poor with boos ringing around when we lost and singing what a load of rubbish at half time. This film is just another opportunity to make money based on sentiment. The LS is the future, need no comparisons to UP, its different and I think it gets better and better. 57K people cant be wrong. And as for that prat Ray Wilkins on TalkSH***, saying we miss UP and it made a difference well Ray have a look at our recent years / record against Chelsea... it was also poor then! They can afford to have a £34M striker on the bench that doesn't even get a run out! We are still miles behind the top 6 but with Slav etc we will have our day in the sun! Their reserves would have beaten us in front of a crowd of 50 on Wanstead flats!I will pass on the nostalgia and prefer to look forward!

I've heard nothing but Incredibly superb reviews about this new DVD which Is why I'd love to win one, so please you unbelievably kind people at BORN TO BE CLARET & BLUE, pick my name out of the hat & I will be absolutely elated to be the proud owner of one which will take pride of place at the very top of my WHUFC DVD collection!
I'm 49 years old & have been following this famous team for approximately 45 years over land & sea & they, as many hundreds of thousands of ' Hammers ' would agree across the world, are a way of life & we are the most Important people at the club....THE BEST MOST LOYAL SUPPORTERS IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Seen a lot of the trailer for iron men Mark Noble talking about his family of supporters and community spirit, Old Mable seems to be the star that stole the show, with her spirit and many memories. I'm getting on a bit and have been going to Boleyn since the 60's so here's my bit of nostalgia the white crash bars dotted around the terraces in the chicken run. And some Nutty old guy that we all called Monty he had a brass bugle he used to blow and the crowd would all take the piss out of him and a Jack Russel dog Anybody Remember Him? can u imagine that, you would'nt be able to get a dog in the ground, let alone walk it along the half way line. Alf Garnett turning up and having a banter with all the away fans. Magic days we all knock the Olimpic but thats because it has no history in one season but it will have give it time, youwill have the days when Di canio sat on the half way line in front of Rednapp and refused to play against Bradford, When Bobby Moore lifted the world Cup and Hurst and Peters True Iron Men and the phrase "West Ham won the Wold cup which used to needle all the opposing supporters up and down the country. But we know there's no going back but do we miss the Boleyn - not arf and it really put a lump in my throat when I watched it being knocked down on You Tube. But we are told this is the way forward, time will tell but the history in the Olympic Stadium will happen, it will just take time and all the talk about it being to big, and the no atmosphere will all disapear I've no doubt of that but I don't Know if it will ever compare with the Magical memories of the last 122 years.
