Leppers of football?

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on Sun, 28/07/2024 - 20:58

Reading several sites and news outlets. A lot of potential targets are not interested in coming to West Ham. I know we no longer have the lure of European football but these linked players want to play in Serie A?
For me. Italian football is crap. Maybe these players are being honest and think the standard of the Premier League is too much for them. Or they know that West Ham is run by a clown.

Duran Deal-Is This Planet Earth?

The is he or isn't he Jhon Duran to West Ham transfer saga seems finally to have come to a head as the 20 year old Columbian is understood to have agreed personal terms with The Irons, and both Hammers and Villa have come to a mutual arrangement regarding the fee ahead of the player's move away from Aston Villa.

This follows breaking news last night that the 'Steidten' was close to agreeing a deal for the red hot striker with a final bid approaching the £40 Million mark.

Duran has been pushing for a move for some time now and a 5 year £90,000 per week deal and a whopping £40 Million fee agreed has finally been thrashed out between West Ham and Villa, a club that love to take money from the EastEnders!

It is to be hoped that Duran's transfer is somewhat more successful than that of Danny Ings!

The figures involved are 'inter planetary' so Duran had better land on planet earth successfully, Hammers simply CANNOT afford another striker ricket to add to the woeful list accrued so far since David Sullivan took over.

Duran ticks all the right boxes but realistically is probably seeing a move to East London as a stepping stone to a 'bigger club', that is perfectly fine as long as he gives his all while wearing Hammers version of Claret & Blue! - Ed

Lewis Orford

Apparently, West Ham have made a £30m bid and offered 18-year-old English midfielder Lewis Orford in a move to sign Aston Villa and Colombia striker Jhon Duran.

Cant say this feels like good business.

Duran Duran has issues, seen as a bad boy, probably upset the dressing room, just feels like too much and now smacking of desperation to get a forward to join us.

Not happy about losing Orford. Local lad, been through the academy and was hailed as a cross between Rice and Lampard, sort of kid you would want to develop?

Same old West Ham

With a wafer thin ageing squad. It has to be a major concern that West Ham have only made 1 signing who will improve our first team. Kilman arrived 2 weeks ago. I was to believe Loppy wanted players in place before pre-season begun.
I also notice that the Cat kicking Carthorse Zouma is Captain today. Club is a mess.

Tickets

Can anyone explain how do I, living abroad, buy tickets? I have just been on the website whufc.com but all I can see are pre season friendlies. I’m planning a trip home and will probably be in London the weekend of the Man City game. I am very unimpressed with the official website. It’s not user friendly at all.
Cheers.
