Doneil Henry and Blackburn, is there more to this potential deal?

3 wins out of 3 with Henry playing well for them on loan and now talk of Blackburn trying to sign him in the summer. Do you think our board have taken a punt on him being successful there with a view to manufacturing an exchange deal with either Gestede or Rhodes coming to West Ham? Gestede looks an Allardyce type player and he caused havoc at Liverpool the other week, they were frightened stiff of him and ended up backing off him at times. Rhodes has proven himself as a goalscorer at all levels under the PL and both of them have scored 16 each this season so, your views?

Barca v Real

This is one game that I think everybody looks forward to. Two of the best teams in Europe giving their best. While the game wasn't too bad I couldn't get over the amount of diving and faking of injury in the game, it was embarrassing to watch. I watched the match with my father who is ninety this year and all he could do was laugh at the different incidents. Are they men or mice, he would say to me or, why is he holding his face when he got a tip on the shin. I couldn't answer him. It's beginning to creep into the Premiership and sometimes it would make me reach for the remote and watch something else. Its fast approaching wrestlingmania standards. It's not helped either when I saw Alan Shearer on motd one night giving his views on the awarding of a penalty, he came out with the statement if there is contact he's ENTITLED to go down. I always thought you went down when by the laws of gravity it was impossible to stay on your feet. The law makers will have to do something about it or else the ordinary punter will stop watching the game.

New FA Proposal for EU and Homegrown Players

Essentially the FA are to tighten up work permits, reduce the number of non-EU players, and require the minimum number of homegrown players to be 12 out of the 25 man squad. And the definition of "Homegrown" will be tightened up too. I can see this as a double-edged sword. While we all might like to see more homegrown talent get a chance, this could affect West Ham adversely; the core of our first team now contains: Sakho, Valencia, Kouyate, Adrian. So what do you all think?

Adebayor. Seriously?

On Newsnow we're apparently linked with "Superstar" striker Adebayor and a deal is close to completion for the summer. So to whoever is sanctioning/persuing this deal here's my question. Are you (expletive) serious?

If this guy is not good enough for the Spuds first team then why on Earth is he considered good enough for us? He's 31, has no pace and is only marginaly an improvement on CC. With Sakho,Valencia and Carroll as our first choice strikers surely we should be targeting someone who can challenge these guys, not someone we can bring off the bench if things aren't going our way and hope he can do the impossible. I understand why we needed him in Jan, after all our other targets failed to materialise but surely we can target someone better in the summer. I'm loathe to see our owners giving Levy the parasite money for this guy.
This smacks of another Big Sam target. Approaching end of his career and can maybe do a job. Sounds like Nolan and Sam's CV's!!!
Funny how some are saying Tevex at 31 can't do a job for us yet our visionary manager sees this guy as the solution!
