the reason we only came away from that sesspit with a point is so clear , our crap bench , just have a butchers at it compared to theirs , at one point we effectively went down to 9 men, Jarvis hardly touched the ball , and the only time Cole touched it was to give away a free kick in a dangerous area , Noble was a huge loss ,i dont know about you but im starting to go with the idea that the cups dont mean a toss anymore , otherwise how can you hold up that performance with the heap of shite last week , we can only go on now and try and get rid of the inconsistency , get rid of Cole Jarvis and Nolan , every time Cole come on the performance goes tits up , the players just dont have any confidence in him , and their not the only ones

Ive no idea why he brought carlton on,for me if you bring a striker on your intent is to attack, but we did the opposite-baffling!It was right to bring ginge on but it was for carlton who got bloody injured after about 10 minutes!i also wouldnt have brought jarvis on,the boys confidence is shot to pieces,at least j.o.b can defend...sort of!!

But this is the first season after soem real progress in signing decent players. Remember we are West Ham so funds only went as far as a decent 1st 11 not a whole squad so having a bench loaded with quality options hasn't been the go all season but hopefully next season it will be.

i wouldn't have made a change in the first place , its not mandatory to bring a fella off because he's got a Yellow , i know that tackle from behind was ugly and he was a lucky boy but take a chance , the team cohesion at the time was spot on

Exactly right! It was Sam trying to shut up shop too soon. Nolan can still do a job for 25 minutes. I think he might privately be cursing himself for not doing that.

I have to agree with Burkie that Cole and Jarvis lowered the overall quality of the side. Yet I can't blame the loss on them. I don't know why we went into defend/panic mode with 10 minutes left to play. THAT's what lost it for us. Also: Adrian should not have palmed that ball straight out to Rose -- it was catchable and if not it should have been turned away. Still a really soft goal. Then Song does have something to answer for for the penalty, even though that also was a soft penalty. We should have seen it out 2-0, but there was some bright spots as we grew into the game. If we only keep that team together we will start playing well again. Our two goals were both pure class.

i can see no other reason for bringing on Cole than to avoid criticism , he himself must know he's not up to it but to avoid more criticism he brings on a" striker " so as to say " well look i cant be accused of going all defensive , i bought on a striker didn't i "

Why bring on the worst striker ever ?.
Obviously We cannot blame Carlton for what happened yesterday but he brings nothing to the table he is slow not very mobile and lacks even the slightest confidence creating ora for his team mates.
I personally cannot believe he is allowed to even step foot on the pitch I would put Poyet on without thinking.
It is times like this when you realise how poor your bench is but that is Sam Allardyces fault.

Exactly my thoughts ashes i know it sounds like clutching at straws, but time was more than up when Adrian saves and the ref should blow up in the favour of our goalie same sort of rule in a penalty shootout under those circumstances not get a second bit at the cherry

What was Song doing, lets be honest, as it was a stupid challenge and his reaction told everyone that it was a penalty. The other frustrating thing is that even though Noble's yellow card was a joke, knowing you are on a yellow card and carrying out a tackle that he did was madness! He could easily have been sent off and having to come off changed the pattern of the game, because he was having a very good game and the fact that we have nothing but crap to replace him with!!!
