Like him or loathe him you cannot begrudge David Moyes' moment of joy, the much maligned Hammers manager, often portrayed as a cartoon zombie, 'ressurected' the fettid and rotting cadava of a team that he inherited from the previous 'daddy of them all' zombie on watch Manuel Pllegrini. There were two exceptions to the bloated imbalanced squad that Moyes had to motivate and mould after taking over the club's management for the second time, his two acquisitions during the January transfer window, Jarred Bowen and Tomas Soucek.

Broadcasters have been asked to increase sound levels for this evening's match between West Ham United and Watford FC at the London Stadium, it is felt that a game of such importance warrants additional crowd noise as the encounter would have provoked 'intense' verbality had it been held in front of a 60,000 crowd as it would have been pre covid-19.

Tonight's game against Watford has taken on almost biblical importance for many west ham fans who were born to be claret and blue, results were mixed for the other teams down in the mire and a clearer picture of what is required to survive is emerging. Three points from the remaining three games would guarantee safety irrespective of any other team's results, Watford at home, away to Manchester United for the penultimate game and finally the home game against Aston Villa.

In January of this year Hull city FC were well set for a play off place, they were eighth in the Championship and they just needed an extra push for the chance to re-join the Barclays Premier League, so what happened to their charge? Put quite simply, money, but here's the rub, in an attempt to replenish their bank account temporarily, Hull City made the cardinal error of not being content with what they had.

For the players the days off between last Saturday's lunchtime dismantling of Norwich City FC and the crucial Friday night so called £100 Million shoot out against fellow strugglers Watford have been warmly welcomed, not so for the West Ham United fans though. The eagerly anticipated Friday night confrontation will go a long way to decide whether either or both clubs survive or thrive in the fight to stay in the Barclays Premier League.

It's not Panto season, but it is definitely "look behind you" time, inevitably fellow 'losers' Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Watford all rallied to the relegation cause and won their games this weekend, only Norwich lost and we know what happened to them! Unfortunately although destiny is still in David Moyes' team's hands, other results are starting to have a dramatic effect.

Eventually the 'good luck' bubble had to burst, in recent games all of Hammers' relegation 'brethren' have floundered, achieving only four points between them since the Barclays Premier League project restart. That all started to change with Watford's victory over Newcastle, but was bought home to rest with Aston Villa's 2-0 home victory over a Palace team that looked and performed as if they were already on the beach.

Greetings earthlings, somehow, something or someone decided to 'take' the Org over just ahead of the game against Norwich, and it seems that same great power decided it was about time to give West Ham United some divine assistance, how else can you explain yesterday's 'demolition job'?
